Not a great experience at this location. Sorry this will be extremely long. But I feel like y’all should have the info. My family and I have used nothing Bundt for our past few birthdays and it’s always been great! But this time I just felt like the experience was very strange and the way the staff handled the situation was odd.
I had ordered the little bundtinis confetti for a work event that I needed for a coworkers birthday on Thursday. I ordered them Tuesday afternoon since I knew the bakery would be closed the next day for New Years, and I scheduled the pick up for 4:30 after my shift at work. I arrived to the store and had my confirmation # and email ready around 4:50-5pm. The girl I had at the counter took my name and my confirmation and she went to the back and came back to the front and gave me a box with a receipt and she asked me to “print my name” on the receipt. Whatever no big deal, but I did think that was strange.
I left with the box and ran the rest of my errands. I got back to my house around 5:45 and I received a text from nothing Bundt that said “Hey Madison we still have your order here” or something along those lines. I thought “that’s weird since I have it right here.”
I then get a phone call from the bakery and they asked me to call them back since they still had my order. I called them back and a girl named Addison picked up and asked what I’d like to do about my order since I requested the pick up be at 4:30. I told her that I had picked it up and I had the box. She said “that’s strange because I have a name and online order right here.” I told her “When I picked it up I had to PRINT my name on a receipt. Do you see it anywhere?” She placed me on hold for a second and found it and then asked “Did you get what you had ordered?”
Me not thinking, I hadn’t checked the box yet since I had just gotten home. I opened the box and saw confetti cakes and told her I got the confetti cakes. I didn’t know there was a difference between the cupcakes and the individually wrapped cakes. Addison asked “are they wrapped in plastic or wrapped in cupcake paper?” I said “wrapped in plastic” She said “ohhhhhhh I see what happened. It looks like they messed up and gave you the bundtlets instead of the cupcakes. Let me go speak to manager to see what we can do” I just said okay. She then asked if my event was that night or when I needed my order and I told her I needed the cupcakes Thursday morning for work.
She comes back on the phone and says “So! We have two really good options for you, so what you got was a $30 difference than what you ordered so 1. You can either pay the $30 difference. Or 2. The girl who made the mistake can meet you before your event and swap the boxes on Thursday. Which would you prefer?”
I just stayed silent and said “well I can’t afford to pay $60 worth of cake for a coworkers birthday, but you’re going to make me hold these in my fridge until Thursday and meet me at my work?” I then told them that I worked all the way in Sherrill’s ford which is across the county. Addison said that was fine and luckily the girl that made the mistake lives on that side and she can “totally meet you.”
That just felt really weird and wrong. Like if I was a terrible person and had these in my fridge I could totally tamper with the food. And it’s a food product? Shouldn’t they not take it back? Isn’t that against the law somehow? I’ve been to several food places where they’ve said once food leaves their facility they cannot take it back?
So on Thursday I met this girl and a woman, who I assumed to be her mom, at my work and neither of them were dressed in Nothing Bundt attire or anything. But they did truly have my box with my name on the receipt.
I just don’t feel right about if the manager was truly spoken to and if they were going to sell that product to someone else…I feel like they should’ve just let me keep those cakes since it left the premises…from a customer perspective this felt extremely unprofessional and now I’m concerned about where my cakes have been and if this...
Read moreOn 2/13/25 we were ordered cakes to be delivered on Valentine’s Day. At 3 o’clock on Valentine’s Day the cakes had not been delivered so we called the Hickory store. Was told the cakes had been picked up by Uber at 10:30 that morning. Keep in mind these cakes need to be refrigerated. We were given the name and number of the driver. Tried to call but it was not an active number. Around 5 called the store again and was told someone would call us back. Nope no call. Called the next morning to get our card refunded and was told that they couldn’t do it because the owner was out of town but he would call us back. Nope no call. Called several more times the next couple of days. Always the same response. Someone will call us back. Nope never happened. Very very poor customer service. Never again for us. They may have good cakes but they don’t take care of...
Read moreOrdered a white chocolate raspberry bundt cake to celebrate my sister's birthday. Unfortunately when we opened it at a Charlotte restaurant at the party, we found that we had been given a lemon cake, not the white chocolate raspberry bundt cake we ordered. I called and was asked to send pictures of the cake which I did and I was told the manager would get with me. The next day, having not heard anything, I called again the clerk had some one named TJ call me back. I discussed the issue with him and he said would call me back in 15 minutes with a resolution. He never called back.
Given the lack of customer service and quality control, I cannot recommend Nothing...
