We ate dinner at Outback tonight because my husband was given a gift card by a friend. We had never been before, and I'm glad that it was covered by a gift card for the most part. I'll start with the positive, which was that our server was very attentive, polite, and our drinks stayed filled. However, the service really didn't stand up to the poor experience we had with the quality of food. The appetizer wasn't bad, but realistically, it's very hard to mess up fries that are covered in cheese and bacon. My husband's sirloin had the strangest texture that I've ever encountered in a steak (it was somehow chewy but not all at the same time), wasn't really seasoned, and left an odd, slightly charred taste in the mouth. My chicken was decent, but nothing special, and definitely not worth the price for a piece of fried chicken breast. The creamed spinach was the pretty terrible - it basically tasted like creamy grass clippings. My mashed potatoes were basically just potatoes, no seasoning, no butter, no liquid to speak of, and had a sort of film over them that require some stirring to get rid of. The only really decent part of the actual meal was the mac and cheese, but it was very, very peppery. Almost overwhelmingly so. Service was great, but it seems like the kitchen may have some major issues. It's a definite no for us moving forward, especially with so many other great options in the area.

Just left Outback Steakhouse High Point, NC and I must say it was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. Thankfully we had gift cards to pay for our food with. The restaurant wasn't even half full and still waited for atleast 20 minutes for our salads. When we finally saw our server and asked about the wait his reply was "they should be out soon, our salad guy is real slow". Salads finally arrived and I had ordered mine without onions but it came with onions. I had waited so long to get the salad so I didn't complain. Our server saw me picking the onions off and never offered to take it back to have it fixed correctly. Instead the comment was "our salad guy doesn't read the tickets good" and walked off. For the most part our food was good; my husband's steak was overcooked and his potato undercooked. The only time we saw our server through the entire meal was as he walked by our table. He never pre-bussed our table so all our bread plates and salad bowls remained stacked on the end of the table. We were never offered refills on our drinks and had to ask another server who delivered our food for the extra condiments we needed, which she relayed to our server and he delivered them. I waited tables for 10 years and on my worst day never provided service like we had tonight. This will definitely be our last visit to this location.

Came here for a late lunch. Place was largely empty and we were seated right away. Service was good not great. Bloomin onion was good and came out quickly. Salads were fresh and good. Now let me get to the reason for the 1 star review. Keep in mind while reading, the bill was over $70.00 not including tip and no alcohol on the bill. I got the 13oz Ribeye and grilled shrimp combo. Ordered med rare. Steak came rare with cold center. The steak was barely edible as it was full of inedible fat and tendons. It was a 13oz steak and I maybe had 4oz that I could eat. The shrimp was so bad I couldn't eat them either not to mention they were the size of a quarter when the menu showed large shrimp. They were so overcooked that they were rubbery and dry. See pics for proof of this entree. The pic shows the part of the steak that was fat and tendon that could not be eaten. Our other entree was grilled shrimp and all of those shrimp were same as mine. Could barely eat 1/4 of the shrimp. This is completely unacceptable offerings for a place that primarily sells steaks and grilled food. The steak I was served should've never made it to the grill much less my plate for $33.00 dollars. We recommend avoiding OUTBACK. There are many better options in High Point for steak and grilled options.

. I so hate to post a negative review but it was honestly the worst experience I've ever had at any outback. We went for lunch around 2pm. There was only 4 tables in our entire side of the restaurant. It took about 12 minutes before anyone even came to the table so we had plenty of time to look at the menu and we ordered our drinks and appetizers first then our meal a few minutes later to give time for our appetizer to arrive. We waited quite a while but she did bring us bread. We did have to hunt down a server for plates though. Our food came out after what seemed like forever and I asked when they thought our appetizer might be ready. (At this point there were maybe 2 tables) she admitted she forgot. We weren't upset but she said she would have it comped for us anyway but I told her it wasn't necessary. We were just glad to have food. We ended up having to hunt down a server again for utensils.

Now we come to the food. The steak was great, but that was the only good thing I can say about the entire meal. The potatoes were either old or terribly overdone because they fell apart almost like a powder. The rice was so dry we couldn't eat it. The chicken was ok but a bit tough and rubbery. The pinion was dripping with oil but that's to be expected. We go to th outback in Salisbury and other locations and have never had an issue. In fact we love outback and honestly this is the first had experience we have ever had. But boy was it a whopper of a bad experience. We still tipped our server well because the food wasn't her fault and I'm assuming she was new, but we will not be returning to...

I had the 3 course 17.99.1st waiter was lil smart assy.it should have been 4.99. asked for more butter to go with the bread brought out. No butter was brought out even when I asked a 2nd time. Waiter Jason was not with it at all.The steak was not 6 oz cooked med rare. The knife would not cut it. Got my pocket knife out cut 3- 1/4 slices. It was barely warm to touch. My cowboy boots softer than the steak. Jason said what's wrong? I put the outback knife across the steak and it did not cut 1/8 of an inch into the steak . He said we got to do something about that?. The manager came out and said is your steak tough? I said yes and the potato was hard. It wasn't even done. Waited approximately 12 minutes out. Came a steak 1 in wide 3 in Long about 2 oz. Of meat. The potato was cooked however that steak was as tough as the second one. I just cut it and ate it because I was tired of waiting and I was hungry. When asked how my experience was we basically said we would not come back. The only good thing was the margaritas that we had and my wife's French onion soup. Otherwise, do not order a steak there. Get a 6 oz steak and they bring out a slice of meat. That's the width of a piece of bacon and 4 in Long. That is not 6 oz. The bill was $56 and actually the meal was worth about 10$ bucks . If you want to state go to longhorn or another steak restaurant out back does not cut it. My pocket knife can shave hairs and it's the only thing that would cut the steak and I came home and sharpened my knife because of the fact that it probably dulled it. We both got home ahead upset stomach after the meal so that tells...

We arrived at 5pm. We ordered drinks and appetizer. We had a blooming onion. Salad came afterwards. So far so good. Steaks came and it began to go down hill. I ordered my ribeye medium well. My best friend ordered his medium rare. Steaks arrive and my steak is medium rarish and his steak was virtually well done. The broccoli sides for all of the group was under cooked. It was not tender at all. We informed our waitress and she put in for more broccoli and cook the ribeye over for my best friend. 7pm now. I had eaten about 1/2 of mine so I didn't try to send mine back. Finally the redo ribeye and broccoli came out. Sad to say......no good. Over cooked again and the broccoli was still not cooked enough. I asked for a manager. The manager came out after about 25 minutes. I explained our disappointments and expectations. She personally offered to go back and cook a medium rare ribeye for my best friend. It's his birthday by the way. It is getting close to 740ish now. No communication from our waitress or the wait staff. My wife then goes up and asked to speak to the manager. She explained again our disappointment and expectations. The manager decided not to charge us for the way off the mark visit. She did send a new steak, baked potato and brownie home with my best friend. She also explained she had only been at this location for a few weeks. No hard feelings but we don't have a desire for Outback steakhouse for the...
