So I initially rated this place unfairly. I really like this bottle shop. The people are always nice, it's clean, and there is a great selection of beer and wine.
There are 2 things that are preventing me from giving a 5 star review. The first, they do a lot of private events so you try to go enjoy your favorite spot and it's closed. There is nothing more frustrating than going out to have to decide on another place. And I understand that a private event often pays more than the public can in a set amount of hours on say, a Tuesday night so in that rational I want this business to do great and I get why booking PEs are necessary. But, I also don't want to drive all the way out to a location for it to br closed. I'd say 2 of the last 5 times I've gone they have been closed for a private event.
The second is they don't have a great cider selection. The Kernersville location does but this location does not. They have some options but I have been a little disappointed and spoiled with the selection of ciders from their K-ville spot (though they still have more than most).
Overall this is a cool spot and like I said is full of friendly people. The parking is good as there is ample parking behind...
Read moreIf you live near High Point and you appreciate a finer selection of beverages than the nearest Kwik E Mart can provide, you need to check out The Kettle. Dave and the guys that work there are all afficionados who can point you in the right direction, whether you are a fan of beers, ales, wines, meads, sakes, or cigars. The selection is awesome! One of the greatest things about The Kettle, though, is that you get to drink your selection while you're there. Dave has a variety of craft beers on tap, plus coolers that are well-stocked with wines, beers, and ales. I love it that I can stop by The Brewer's Kettle and hang out with my friends and family, meet cool people, and sample awesome brews. I love this place and can't wait until they expand in Feb. of 2013. I recommend this place...
Read moreWhat a gem this place is! I had found another cigar lounge when searching Google Maps and I was turned off by the $15 one day membership fee. I found this place instead and was not disappointed at all! The bartender was very knowledgeable about both beer and cigars. I talked to him about what I was looking for in a good smoke and his recommendation nailed it! I was very impressed with their on tap beer selection and it looks like they've got a bunch of craft beer as well. I cannot speak to their wine selection, I didn't try it but it looked quite extensive. The patio area is great and their prices are reasonable. They're open every day and there's no cover...
