The nastiest Chinese food I ever had paired with some of the worse service! Zero out of ten would NOT recommend! I ordered pick up and walked in the restaurant to get it. The man behind the counter looked at me with such a high level of disdain and disgust as if I was unwanted and unwelcome (I’m not the demographic this restaurant was established for). Scolded me for not checking the bags lined up for pickup, and after I checked them I informed him that my order wasn’t there he then says belligerently: “Then they’re still working on it in the back then!” I asked if he needed my name or number (so he could use it to ask someone in the back about the status of the order because he was NOT BEING HELPFUL) an older guy comes out as I’m giving my name and offers to check. I sit to wait and my order comes out. I paid and ate it in the car. The food was cold and horrible even though it had JUST COME OUT THE KITCHEN! The fried rice was actually yellow rice that they put undercooked vegetables in including frozen peas that were cold in the center. The egg roll was soggy and lukewarm, and the main course lacked flavor and its veggies were undercooked and half frozen. This tasted like Chinese food that someone who had never boiled water before made. No one could give me this for free, I actually feel nauseous. I would not recommend this to anyone, not even a poor and starving person. Please stay away from this place especially if you do not fit the demographic of who it was created for…you will only be mistreated and leave...
Read moreI was delighted to find kosher Chinese in this Jewish portion of highland Park. It was tucked and neatly amongst three other kosher restaurants and very close to a yeshiva. The supervision was very obvious and a pleasure to know that my food was kosher to a regulatory stringency, but yet very tasty. The manager came over several times to check on me and make sure that all of my needs were met. As I was leaving it was getting busier. The customer seemed very familiar with the manager who told them she was moving on and opening up her own place at the Newark airport. Even though they had no competition as a kosher Chinese restaurant in this area, I found the food to the delicious and in...
Read moreAfter we picked up my son from Rutgers for a appointment, we wanted to get something to eat( Dine-in) my husband called up to make sure that we can eat in. The answer was yes. But, I would have to say that they don’t get very many people that eat in. The persons that greeted us , took our orders and served our food was all in one. Maybe it’s time to hire someone to be able to serve us, without the table to be asking if we can have water. We ate as a family of 4 , but they don’t serve that way all in plastic containers. Either way, the kosher Chinese food was delicious!!! Definitely will go back when we are in that neck...
