Pretty decent Mexican place serving a collection of various foods, and a good menu with enough items that are cooked well. It's a pretty local restaurant so the portions match the price very well though some of the drinks are a bit pricey. I wouldn't expect very large portions here though. They also have very unreal freshly squeezed orange juice here when it's available. For dine-in, they give you chips and green and red salsa, both which are very good. The corn chips are crunchy and tasty, and the salsas taste fresh. I ordered tamales with chicken and the whole plate was pretty good. The tamales taste much better than the typical frozen ones that a lot of other restaurants or vendors might sell. They could use a bit more chicken in the tamales though. The service is also good and on a non-busy day, staff will still come by to check up on you. If I am looking to fill up on some good Mexican food, I would come by again to try more options.

Tried to place on order on GrubHub on a Sunday before noon, but the app said it was going to take over an hour. So we decided to call in and it was about a an half hour instead for four orders. I went with the chicken burrito, which was good, but it was nothing special. The grilled chicken inside was not particularly exciting. However, I do appreciate that they put a good amount of chicken in there. I was only able to finish half the burrito and saved the rest for the next day. We only ordered here because we were in the area and needed a quick lunch spot to pick up some food, so I don't really see us coming back here.

A very pleasant experience. We were seated promptly and they brought out chips and salsa. 2 different salsas. Both flavorful and not watery. 1) The Texas burrito was great. Very fresh and flavorful. Stuffed with rice, beans and cheese and smothered in red sauce. Good portion size and very filling. 2) Fish tacos were a slight miss. Kinda bland. Would benefit from more salsa. 3) The horchata was delicious. Sweet and cold treat. Overall, minus the fish tacos, everything was delicious.

We had some place else to be at 7p, decided to find a restaurant when we got close by.

I love Mexican food, but rarely find authentic Mexican food in Jersey.

The waitress was very welcoming, no hurrying us... juat kindness.

We ordered guacamole, shrimp tacos and grilled steak enchilada both w/ rice and refried beans.

YUM

Honestly - it was all delicious! The guac was served with the pit in the bowl, to certify the freshness!

Perfectly seasoned and generous portions - enough for lunch the next day. And trustworthy! My husband realized a half hour after dinner, he left his wallet at the restaurant. They had it, held it and we picked it up before closing.

My brother is coming to visit at the holidays - excited to take him there!

Enjoy your meal - it is worth the wait for...

We have always had a good experience in our two years regularly ordering here. Food is always on time, never made a mistake. Large veggie-packed vegetable quesadillas. Food is light and fresh, not heavy, which is my preference..

Reading some of the reviews here, I was surprised to see so many people giving one star reviews for tasteless food. I've never experienced that. I'm a fan of spicy food, and wouldn't describe myself as having a bland sense of taste. Perhaps someone accustomed to high salt content in their meals wouldn't be able to taste the food? A lot of health conscious people living in Highland Park, so I would not be surprised if other customers complained of too much salt in the past.

Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite places to order from....
