There are three types of sushi restaurants. First, is the super cheap place which uses almost no fresh fish and has poor quality rice (sweet and clumpy). Second, there is the middle tear where you'll find good maki style rolls which are tasty, colorful, and garnished with different sauces. Third, you have the more high end places with limited seating, really fresh fish, exceptional rice, and where the experience is dictated by the Sushi Chef and not by the customer.
Midori Sushi falls in the middle. If you're looking for a varied menu with quality sushi rolls you will find it here. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced and you can choose from a variety of rolls. Also, If you like spicy tuna and salmon theirs has a bit of a kick. Also added to their spicy rolls is some crispy panko bread crumbs, I personally like this, however, the last time I had a bit more panko than fish and felt a bit skimped. Their special roles are quite good like the madness roll and the fancy roll. I would also recommend all sushi or dishes which include salmon (e.g. the salmon combination dinner), their salmon has always been very fresh and flavorful. Their fish overall is fresh but their tuna is not always of the best cut. Their nigiri are a little small and sometimes I wish they had slightly more rice. Despite the occasional concern with the quantities of rice and fish, overall this restaurant is above average, and hits on most of its dishes.
Their pick up is reliable and on time, but you have to be more patient for deliveries. The staff is friendly and has made great improvements in their service. They are more attentive to customers than in the past and this is worth noting. To summarize, Midori is an above average sushi restaurant, which caters well to customers who enjoy maki (roll sushi) and special rolls combining different fish and textures. Once you get into more traditional Japanese dishes and sushi the quality (and quality to price) drops to that of more average sushi...
Read morethe worst customer service I have ever experienced. so i went to this place to have nice meal with my family. We got a Groupon deal. since we got there we didn't like the service we were getting by our server named Nikki, as soon as we finished and wanted to pay, we got 2 separate checks and we were ready to pay and use our grupon boucher, so it is on the description that they can only use one deal per table, which we didn't read of course and our complain is not about the deal is about the attitude we got from this server Nikki, she was extremely rude to the 4 of us and we all have our independent businesses, and we know how important it is to treat our customers with respect and always politely. We tried to get informed about the deal all we got was the worst attitude from this person. We ask to speak to someone else and when we thought service could not get any worst Alan got on the picture. This gentleman came to our table with an even worst attitude than our server Nikki. He came to us with an aggressive tone that even our nicest friend got mad. Just to find out he was not even the manager. Alan was an other server for what we know. We requested to talk to a manager and Alan was completely rude and impolite to us and treated us with no respect whatsoever. He said " We need no manager, there is no one running this restaurant." He was like " you can wait all day if you want for a manager to come" and walked away. We were astonished of his disrespectful behavior to us. We asked for their names and manager's name.
So dear Scoot as a manager of this restaurant I highly recommend you to fired these type of employees that disrespects your customers. They are rude and impolite with apparently zero tolerance to customers, so they are completely in the...
Read moreI am only giving one star because there is no option to give zero stars. I came here for the first time with my family to grab some nice dinner. The moment we walked into the door we got treated with a very nasty attitude. this should have been a warning already, but we purchased a groupon online and we wanted to use it. throughout our time there the waitress Nikki was really rude and disrespectful. When we asked for the check Nikki told us that we can only use one groupon per table and that we can not just split our receipts like this to use two groupons per table (they clearly were not happy about the fact that we came in with a groupn, which fascinates me every time since they are the once who put the deal on the groupon). After arguing with Nikki for about 5 min we asked for the manager since we clearly did not get anywhere with the waitress and her disrespectful way of speaking. I have never gotten an answer with more disrespect than this. This other guy came, with an even nastier attitude. Alan, that's his name, talked to us in such an aggressive and disrespectful way and HE WAS NOT EVEN THE MANAGER. After i asked who the manager of this place is he answered with "this place does not need a manager" and "if you want to speak to the manager you can wait here all day" throwing the receipt back on our table and leaving in pure anger. I am not a person that gets mad easily, nor do I write bad reviews ever, but after this horrible FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE they deserve nothing but a bad review.
And to the manager Scoot, make sure that when you are not in the restaurant, to put a competent person in charge. People like this will only damage...
