I agree with some of the previous reviews that this place has the worst pizza ever. It has no flavor, the dough was not fresh-made, and it was chewy, like eating a piece of cardboard! The crust was over crispy and so hard to chew. It must have been coming out of frozen and reheated. And considering they actually sell frozen pizza, we believe it likely was previously frozen…. I tried to compensate by adding a lot of my own seasonings to make it more edible. We even ordered our pizza with garlic, but although garlic was visible (from the jar) it had absolutely no garlic flavor! So, the chopped garlic must have been old. It is supposed to be New York style pizza, but the way they advertised and labeled it on their menu as selling NY style pizzas is misleading. It is not even close to an original NY style pizza. It is definitely the worst “pizza” I’ve ever had. I am glad I did not order anything else. It was overpriced, especially considering the low quality we got! 100% do not recommend this place. UPDATE: Also, when it arrived, it was already cold. And we didn’t notice until later that the box had another scratched-out name written on it, then our name written next to it, which makes us suspicious that the pizza we received came out of the fridge from a previously returned or cancelled order….

The atmosphere is alright. Could use a good wipe down and push a broom and mop through. The man behind the counter was the owner and very passionate about his pizza. Very knowledgeable and personable. Slices were big, crust well done and toppings were proportional and generous. It was good new york style pizza but didn't really live up to the hype of old school new york pizza when we ate it. I'd recommend going and trying it yourself to support a local family owned business. The Detroit and thinner Detroit style (I forgot what it was called) were really good but I've had better in Edison Park. The thin cheese and spicy slice were okay. For 3 thin slices, 2 thick crust, 5 garlic knots and a soda I paid just around $38 which is alot of money for items I was a little disappointed in from the hype.

There are a lot of comments from people who don’t like NY style pizza, so to set the record straight this is a great NY slice. It’s got the well cooked crispy crust with a proper bite/chew to it. The mozzarella has a nice mild flavor and the sauce is more robust than sweet. Italian seasoning comes out well and pairs great with the red pepper flakes. The layout and location make it have a good mom and pop atmosphere with a cool NY graffiti vibe. Lots of small tables to sit and a high stop counter with bar stool seating. I do agree that since ny style pizza has thin crust, it’s gonna be better to have it straight out the oven (asap) or by the slice. If you love NY pizza, you have to try it for yourself!

NY Slices in Highland Park, IL, is an absolute gem for pizza lovers! Every Monday and Thursday, we make it a point to indulge in their unbeatable 2-for-1 large pizza deal. For just $20, you get two twelve-inch NY-style pies – an offer that Domino's can't come close to matching! The pizzas are always delicious, with the perfectly floppy crusts and mouthwatering toppings that leave us craving more.

The staff at NY Slices are always welcoming and friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. They also offer a fantastic selection of locally brewed craft sodas, which pair perfectly with their pizzas. The decor is simple but inviting, creating a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

While we haven't had the chance to try their calzones yet, they look absolutely amazing coming out of the oven. We can't wait to sink our teeth into one soon! The garlic knots look good too, I'm curious about the "pasta on pizza" as well. If you're in Highland Park and looking for great pizza and excellent service, NY Slices is the place to go. Highly...

The pizza is actually really good. The delivery is good as well. I’m giving them a low rating because they don’t fulfill the order properly.

The first order was perfect.

The second order they sent most of our order but also large cheese pizza instead of a 10 inch gluten free pizza with additional toppings. I called and they corrected this and brought us the right one.

The third and fourth time they fulfilled the order except they used regular crust for the 10 inch pizza I stead of gluten free.

I don't order gluten free to be fashionable, I order because of multiple health issues and this restaurant continually charges me for the gluten free (which costs more), but does not give me gluten free and then I physically suffer because of it.

Every time we order we spend around $50 or so and always give at least a $20 tip. We will unfortunately have to take this...
