Sweet Home Gelato Highland Park — Restaurant in Highland Park

I DON'T know what is happening with the CUSTUMER SERVICE in the North Shore. My wife had a bad experience today. She felt very bad being mistreated by one of the ladies that works there. My wife: "I just wanted one "large" up to 3 flavors cup, she thought I was referring to a pint, so she asks to her supervisor if 3 flavors can go in one and she says, yes. I WAS READING THE MENU ON THE WALL ,but she got so upset because apparently I TOLD her a pint, so she corrects her mistake after confronting me that I SAID a pint. Anyway she proceeds to fill the cup with the 3 flavors, and she barely filled it up and she almost threw it in our faces, she was ringing us up, but it felt more like a favor she was willing to make that annoyed me and then I GOT upset and said that I wanted a reimbursement, without even touching the cup, so that was easier, then she asks why and what is wrong? I told her that her ATTITUDE, that was the problem, so she did a full 180. Even behind the mask you could tell she changed her attitude. Bottom line I think that it was rude of her to treat me with less professionalism from a simple misunderstanding. GREAT GELATO THOUGH, not so sure if I'll go back. Thank you...

I went in this past weekend and I could tell by the dirty floors and foggy glass container that this place is poorly ran. While ordering the employee was very kind, but I could tell that they do not enjoy working there. I spoke more with the employee who told me about problems they have reported that the owners blatantly disregard. Based off the excellent customer service I received from the employee. I personally believe that this is an ownership problem. I genuinely feel bad for their employees as their needs seem disregarded from the owners. I will not be supporting this place until ownership figures...

I have been living and working in Highland Park most of my life. Sweet Home Gelato is a place I go for one of the best overall experiences in town. The staff is always very kind and pleasant and even helpful when I can't decide what flavor to get! I have even been advised as of late to get two flavors in a cup instead of just one! And the macarons are unique in their flavors. Last night I had an Earl Grey tea one that was out of this world! I am proud this gelateria is right in my hometown on the main drag.
