I probably should have given this place less stars for the experience that we had while we were there, but if I am being honest, it was a little bit beyond their control. They were so busy with Sturgis and there were no instructions posted so I had to ask a busy waitress if we should seat ourselves. She said that we should so we picked a quiet table in the back. Our server did not greet us for about 10 minutes, but in that time I got up and found menus for us. By the time our server came over we were already ready to order. We kept things simple hoping that it would help ease the burden of so many people in the cafe. The server did bring us our drinks and my side salad, but then she disappeared and we did not see her again. During that time, I got up and found silverware for my husband and myself so that I could eat my salad. When she did not return, we noticed that another server seemed to be helping out. I flagged her down and she apologized and informed me that my server had left due to a family situation. She then checked on our order and took care of us to the best of her ability. The food she brought out to us was no longer hot, but we did not care - we knew the entire town was busy. So, we ate quickly, and paid our bill and left. I can say that if the food had been hot, it probably would have tasted a great deal better. I give this place 4 stars because I am sure that they are probably a great place to dine, but all the stars were stacked against them on this night - I have to be fair, it was so busy and they looked really short staffed. With a server leaving for an emergency, I am sure that it did not help the situation.

I usually don't write reviews like this because i try and let people try the place and form their own opinions.. However, I witnessed one of the most horrible incidents there, today, I have seen in a restaurant. I arrived around 11:15am. The owner berated more than ONE tabled customer by yelling and screaming at them because they simply told her they were brought the wrong food and that it was lukewarm. As for MY experience? The outside advertised $5 Margherita wasn't available because they didn't "have the mix", the hot turkey I ordered wasn't available and I sat there at least 10 minutes after the order was in to be told I'd have to pick something else. We didn't have napkins, silverware had to be asked for, then we had to be a captive audience for the owner to stand in the middle of her own establishment and try and justify it all by yelling about how many hours she works and how customers complained too much. The little lady that waited on us initially was visibly shaken by it all and we noticed she was working the majority of the tables by herself and when the owner came up to greet people, she was noticeably avoiding her. There were help wanted signs in the window, but judging by the mannerisms I witnessed, today? I wouldn't want to be employed here and as a customer? I'll NOT be back and would advise anyone to think twice before walking in the door.

I have been here before, and the food and service was great. However, tonight was craziness. it is rally time, and we expect there to be a wait. The waitress came three times to tell us what they did not have, and after waiting 2 1/2 hours later, we finally got our steaks, and they were raw. We finally had enough and asked for a manager. A young lady came out and totally was defensive instead of being understanding, Our friends first talked to her and told them we are going to pay for salad bar (which had nothing on it) and the potatoes. We informed her that the steaks were raw. She would not listen and was rude. my friends wife jumped in and said that is all we are paying for, and if that is not okay, it will be blasted on Facebook. The manager then said we'll call can all.jist leave. Let me reiterate that we totally understand the rally stress and expected delays, but this was beyond ridiculous and ZERO customer service. We felt terrible for our poor waitress.

We had dinner there tonight and it was a terrible experience! It was night and day from our breakfast experience this morning. That was great and that’s why we came back for dinner. What a disaster! It started with the wait to get our order taken. At least 30 minutes. Then the soup and salad bar had been ravaged but the waitress assured me it would be refilled so we ordered it. It was never refilled. All that was left were pasta salads. No vegetables at all! The soup was almost empty. We had to scoop continuously to try and get something other than liquid. The waitress was overwhelmed to say the least. She made excuses continuously because that’s all she could do. The couple we were with ordered steak and a loaded potato. They were asked if they would like mashed potatoes as someone had ordered them and walked out. They said no and got the baked potato but it was plain. The steak was rare but ordered medium well. It took so long to get it that sending it back was not an option. We complained about the salad bar but were told repeatedly that they were too busy to refill it. Then don’t sell it! Others were complaining as well. Try limiting your menu for the bike week event and you will be able to manage a lot better. The excuse that your cooks are new and you are overwhelmed is not helpful. Nor is a 10% discount. We won’t be back this week. I would go anywhere else unless you have literally hours to wait for...

First when we walked in the first thing we noticed was it was dirty. We were a party of 5. I ordered the chicken fried steak. It came with the steak, mashed potatoes, corn and Texas toast. It also came with the soup and salad bar. If you can call it a soup and salad bar. Not a huge selection and def not fresh. The broccoli salad was okay. But def wasn’t cold enough. The soup was “chili”. It had no flavor. Salt couldn’t even save it. No chili flavor at all. The steak was disgusting and inedible. It was wet. And not in a good way. Like a soggy diaper. It also had an awful smell. The mashed potatoes were weird and nasty. I had to send it all back. I just couldn’t. They did let me keep the toast. It was the only good item. The gravy had no flavor. I didn’t even try the corn. I was done.

My husband had the chicken tender basket. It was okay.

My son had the cinnamon roll! That thing was bigger than his head! He said it was delicious.

The other two kids shared a chicken nugget kids meal. It was okay.

After I sent my food back they brought the check and charged me $12.99 for the soup and salad bar. What for broccoli salad and nasty chili? I think not. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The food is mediocre to nasty at best. And it’s pricey. There are better places to eat. Maybe I just chose the wrong thing to eat. One of the waitresses says it is what they are known for. If that’s what they are known for?...
