Take out today, Not sure what happened to the soup I got today, it was not sinigang which what I got the last time I was here and was good, no complaint on that one. This time I got some kind of soup but all I got was a bunch of cabbage, lots of broth, litirally 1 piece of carrot, and 3 big bones with no meat but just skin fat- I felt I was better off buying McDonald’s. So I throw it away and waste of my money. Also when I tried your halo halo, it was not what I thought it would be, I’m sorry the last halo halo I got was in California and that was just perfect! What you guys made was a whole lot of shave ice, there weren’t any of those tropical fruits that usually goes on there. The only thing that was good was the taro ice cream which was about a spoonful of it, not enough. I guess I expected more/better. There is another Filipino restaurant in Bethany which you have to order then they make it but that was by far the better. I’m sorry but my experience with your food is not the best. So I probably won’t...
Read moreI told my buddy from work that I miss Filipino food as this is what I ate growing up. He mentioned that boba Licious has some of his favorite food that he has found so far in Oregon. I tried it today and it was a great experience! Upon entering, everyone greeted and was so kind. We chatted about various things including where in the Philippines that my mother was from. It was a sweet and kind interaction and something that made my day. The food was what I was hoping for! The chicken adobo (and pork adobo that my friend ordered) was great! The longanisa was delicious and reminded me of home. The diniguan honestly was great as well which surprised me since I was not always the biggest fan of it but was craving it today. The Kaldereta was nice and thick and the beef really tender. The banana lumpia also tasted so good and was not overly sweet! Though one felt slightly burnt but still tasted really good! Overall, I enjoyed and loved my meal. I have been missing Filipino food and was happy to have been told about...
Read moreWe're so glad we found this gem in Hillsboro! Every time we come to Oregon whether or not we're just passing through or vacationing around town, this is one of our destination spot for tasty authentic Filipino food -- Ilocano style! So you're aware, there aren't any tables in this establishment and is only for takeout.
We've pretty much tried all their dish offerings at this point as well as some of their desserts, such as halo-halo, and none of them disappoint! If I had to highlight one particular dish, it would be the pinapaitan! This is not a dish for everyone due to the innards and its unique flavor from the bile, which adds a bitter taste to the broth, but it's so so so delicious! This is the authentic flavors that I crave and can't get enough of in a pinapaitan dish.
We always order this dish if it's being offered without any hesitation. There's nothing like some mouth-watering home cooking! Shout out to the Manangs and Manong in the kitchen, cooking up all these delicious Filipino...
