I don't like leaving a negative review but I am just so disappointed and feel like I need to warn others. We used the Hero Sushi website and the Hero Sushi phone number and my husband was very surprised when he pulled up to a completely new restaurant. None of our rolls were what we ordered because this new restaurant used the same names but made them completely differently. Several of the rolls we ordered aren't even on the menu so they just made something up (an Oregon roll with eel and shrimp?). I always order two of the Super Veggie and rather than getting asparagus, avocado, carrot, cucumber, cilantro, and a very yummy peanut sauce, I got cucumber, APPLE, avocado, cabbage, beet, Japanese radish, carrot, sweet pumpkin, and seaweed salad. We ended up tossing my second roll away after picking through the first roll. I just wish they told us on the phone that what we were ordering was going to be different or did anything to ensure that we knew that we were not ordering what we thought we were ordering or from Hero. A lot of money was wasted tonight. 😣

Food was tasty. Service could be a bit faster. The ambiance could do with more color and better lighting; it feels a bit dark inside. Prices were reasonable for a sushi joint I would say. Portions are pretty generous and very filling. I looked for bento box but there was a good substitute for it called Saba Combo, which I highly recommed. The grilled mackerel in there was very well made. Revisited today and we tried all the bento boxes. They were all very tasty and I loved the portion size and that a large portion of rice was NOT included as it fills you up unnecessarily. The service was fantastic this time and we paid about $25 per person, which is very reasonable for a wonderful meal like this.

We came to eat on a weekday night and there were about 3-4 other tables full. Service was quick and attentive and the waitress was able to answer questions and fulfill requests quickly. I ordered the sushi combination B with 10 pieces of nigiri and a chef’s choice roll. The chef’s choice was a California roll with spicy tuna and different sauces on top. All the nigiri pieces were very large and fresh! I was pleased with the portion, for about $31 it wasn’t cheap but definitely filling and had a nice variety of fish. They have a very large menu and something for everyone. Not inexpensive sushi but the quality is worth the price. We would definitely come back!

I have come to this restaurant multiple times and I’ve enjoyed the food, but when I came in Saturday the food was absolutely disgusting. Mind you this was not my first time coming on a Saturday and to add on everytime I come on a Saturday it’s always tasteless or edible enough but I always give them a 2nd chance since I really enjoyed their food during my work break hours during the week like Mondays , Fridays or Tuesday. After this Saturday, this experienced has made me gag whenever I see/smell sushi and has prevented me from ordering hot food from teriyaki’s places because I just cannot forget about the nasty experience I had there. I have gone to this restaurant mainly Mondays, or Thursdays and the food has been absolutely delicious and not to sound sexist or anything but while waiting to pick up or waiting for my food on the table I have looked in the back where the cooks are (curiosity) and have seen 2 men on Saturdays cooking and my food comes out tasting gross or not cooked well. But whenever I come during the weeks I see mostly women in the back and my food always tastes amazing. So I’m not sure if this is a coincidence or what but this Saturday experience has made me change my perspective of this restaurant. The noodles were stiff and tasted weird the sushi tasted weird and the tuna looked liked cat food and the smells were HORENDOUS. Overall I think if you’re going to try this restaurant for the first time I would recommend going during the week not...

We came for dinner at 6:45 pm. We were told there was a 30 minute wait for a table because their computer system was down. We waited for 40 minutes and our number was called. We were seated and someone brought us napkins, chopsticks, and menus. We quickly chose what we each wanted and then we waited. And waited. We saw two tables who came in after us have their orders taken while we continued to wait. Finally I got the attention of the person who appeared to be on charge to tell her we were still waiting for someone to take our orders after orders for two couples who came in after us were taken . She apologized and said a server would be right over.

A server finally did come to our table and took our orders. Our orders did arrive within 10 minutes. Our combination meals and sushi and sashimi orders were well prepared and delicious.

I don't know if we caught the staff on an unusually frenetic night, if the lack of their software was the cause, if they were short-staffed, or something else entirely. The staff were running frantically between tables, running in orders, and bringing out orders as far as they could. They looked very stressed.

The long wait at our table for service while others who were seated after us for service first is why I gave 3 stars for service. As I noted, there feels like there may have been extenuating circumstances tonight, so we will try Hero Sushi again...
