Really overpriced average burgers. Greasy limp steak fries.

My boyfriend and I went in around 7pm one weekday night, ordered a burger and large fries for him (+soda) and a lettuce-wrapped burger and water for me. Was definitely taken aback at the cost, but with all the raves you always hear about the place, figured it'd be worth it.

Honestly, I've had tastier food from Wendy's.

My lettuce wrapped burger came basically disassembled. Just a burger patty with cheap, McDonald's quality American cheese on it, and a few transparent strips of limp fast food bacon, laying on a loosely piled bed of lettuce. So I had to use my hands to try to sandwich everything in lettuce at my table, thus defeating the purpose of a burger that's already been nice assembled in secure lettuce wrap. Little Big Burger does it well. 5 Guys, no attempt was made.

As far as the patty, it wasn't dried out, but it wasn't some thick patty dripping juice down my chin. The flavor was unremarkable.

I tried some of my boyfriend's fries, of course. Now, steak fries are not really my jam, to be honest. I prefer crispy shoe string. But so many people adore these fries, I was really shocked that they were just limp and greasy, and just... nothing special. They were salted. I guess that's a plus at least?

My boyfriend also was not super impressed with his meal, especially with the cost.

Little Big Burger is vastly superior to this place, if you want an expensive burger that comes with few options to customize, but tastes great. And their truffle fries are actually tasty and craveable. Or go to Wendy's, which is comparable in flavor and quality, but...

A Gentleman named Derek was more than kind and helpful. He did something for me That might’ve been a small act of kindness to him, but it was a huge act of kindness to me. I ordered my daughters food and I thought I ordered mine as well.. Keep in mind my kids are seven and four and they were excited for their date with Mom but when I got my food and I looked at my receipt, I realized OMG I forgot to buy myself a burger so I thought this is really gonna cost me being I already had paid 30 bucks but I couldn’t let my girls down because they do have huge hearts and they would’ve felt guilty that I didn’t eat and they did. So I went inside and said I’m so sorry, but I forgot to order my own burger and as expensive as this place is (because the food is amazing) i need to order and he asked what I wanted on my burger and after I told him he then handed me a receipt that said 0.00. as tears started to fill my eyes I thanked him and I know to him as he looked at me and said it’s no problem at all He had no clue that to me it meant that I didn’t have to break my promise to my daughters of taking them to the dollar store to get a treat. Every time I come in here the employees are more than kind, The food is always 100%. amazing, and even when they’re crammed packed busy, they get Through every order super quickly. • Just an update. The manager emailed me after I wrote this and then never replied to my email...... I was extremely disappointed in the service I received there this last Saturday night. We came for a football tournament and drove 2 ½ hours. We ordered our food at 8:40pm 3 Burgers 3 fries 3 shakes our bill was $60… after about 10 minutes of waiting I tell my son I am going to wait in the car. My husband calls me and asks what is taking so long as he is waiting for us to get back with food. Here is it 40 minutes later!! I go up to the counter and show the guy I have been waiting 40 minutes for my food and now my husbands milk shake is melted. He just looked at me…. So I said can you at least remake it and he just looked at me… then finally took it. I asked how long it would be until my food was done and he said let me checked. The guy told him its ready and then grabs a bag that is sitting there not under heat or anything. I told the guy so now we get cold food? And he said I am sorry… I could not believe it. But for the cherry on top of our cold soggy fries and buns they only gave us two fries not three. So to these owners of this five guys.. Ask your team Saturday night ticket 22 placed 8:40pm what kind of service I got. I am not one to leave a bad review as I have been a Customer Service Manager for 15 years. So I did not make a scene there but I don’t think I should have paid $60 for the food or the poor service I received… Highly...
