Your typical Petco, and the staff there were very friendly.
Unfortunately, it looked very unkempt, there were large carts used for stocking the shelves all over the aisle ways I was trying to navigate, and things were fairly disorganized on the shelves. The place had a basically disorganized feel, and looked like it needed a lot more active employees, doing a better job at organization, cleaning, and overall maintenance of the store showroom area.
Otherwise, the staff was very friendly, until they couldn't process my phone number, and I had to use a family member's phone number, to get a small discount on my purchase. And when I say small, I mean very small. It was less than a dollar, on a $25 purchase. Their prices are generally a bit higher than PetSmart, and in this case, I went to both stores the same evening, starting at Petco and then going to PetSmart, and sure enough there was anywhere from 10 to 50 Cent difference in prices, between the two, on the particular items I was purchasing. I had thought about this while I was at Petco, as they closed at 8 p.m., and I was there last customer. I then drove a short distance down the road to PetSmart, which closes at 9 p.m., and bought even more items, as they would be a bit better in price there.
Also, the young man at Petco, while being nice in his delivery, was arguing with me that I had never had a rewards number with them, even though I had one of their rewards cards in my wallet. I told him I had not shopped at Petco for a while, and that perhaps my account had gone dormant. He quickly informed me that they did not "dump" phone numbers, and that I must be mistaken. That was the only bad part of the experience, as I do not like being argued with, and since I had the card in my wallet, it was obvious I had had a rewards account with them previously.
Luckily, I knew of a family member that did have one and used them more frequently than I had, and when I gave them their number, they were able to find it, and give me a discount.
It is never good customer service, to argue with somebody about whether or not they are telling you the truth about having an account with you, when you obviously have one of their rewards cards with you.
Remember to always do comparison shopping, whenever possible, especially with specialty items, such as pet...
Read moreThis is Tanasbourne Town center, From See's Candy, to the inventory of Target Department store, The Bargains of Ross Dress For Less,Of Course the technological entertainment mogul Best Buy, and all the other stores here in the shopping plaza are here for your shopping convinence.
The neighboring neighborhoods are a tad overpriced due to the convinence of tanasbourne Town square.
Definitely more of a yuppy shopping location in the past and somewhat still in the present time..
Seems that more and more of the riff raff or the homeless are finding their ways her to loiter and solicit and dig through trash cans for whatever reason kinda giving it less quality of an environment.
Not saying anything bad about the homeless or the alternate minded but things tend to stay nice when people are treating the area nicely, and unfortunately some do not respect themselves enough to respect others property and...
Read moreThis review is for Pizza Schmizza which was inside the town center. This was the first time trying this restaurant and we were there on a Monday. They have a restaurant section for families and the bar is a separate section, which is where we sat. The atmosphere was great and our bartender was friendly and on top of serving everyone. You can get single serve slices of pizza or whole pizzas. We decided to try the steak and potato with sour cream pizza. As odd as that sounds, it was outstanding! This is NY style pizza and they have a variety of different pizzas on the menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I plan on going back when...
