1 star, because NO star is not an option. The Rack has gone downhill. Clothes on the floor, with visible dirt from carts rolling over them. All sweaters are hung & stretched out to the point of damage. Even cashmere sweaters are hung, the hangers are coming through the material in the shoulder area, all damaged. $299 for a damaged sweater, no!!! Disappointing, I would have gladly paid the price if it wasn't damaged. Many items are not marked with prices. Absolutely RUDE entitled staff. Kira P was the gal who checked me out. Never said hello, asked for my number & acted annoyed to have to do her job. 2 of the items I needed to know the price, she was rube about that too. Then advised, cosmetics couldn't be returned, I was buying room spray, Jack Black men's stuff & various other items. I asked if the return policy had changed, mind you, I rarely ever make returns. She got an attitude & she, "Why exactly would you need to return it?" I said there could be various reasons, they're gifts & I'd just never had anyone at the Rack tell me that upon check out. She said, "We're a discount store & losing money. If you want to talk to a manager, then fine." I said that wasn't necessary, I just hadn't heard of that return policy. She said it had been in place forever & followed up by saying it had been in place since January of this year (2023), so it is a new policy. After paying, she left my stuff spread out on the counter, gave a smirk, rolled her eyes & stood there. I advised that the rudeness wasn't necessary & wished her a Merry Christmas.
Kira, you lost Nordstrom Rack business by your actions & rudeness. Myself along with my friends, family & and clients, won't ever come there. Not wise, Nordstrom! Get...
Read moreAug 2022 udpate: If you are a dude, go ahead and skip this one now. They may as well make this an all women store. There are harldy any shoes of note, the suit selection is non existent which is understandable but the womens part is packed. The one by Washington Square has a larger men's selection. This rack is close to my house so it's always good to me. I get all my stuff tailored there by Celeste....even if I buy some place else she hooks it up for me. For men, the selection is hit or miss. I am usually looking for steal on Italian shoes and suits and American shoes and suits...etc. I've noticed they have shrunk the suit selection quite a bit over the last few years so been going to the one downtown or by Washington Square. Also the shoes are very hit or miss but I still go there about 2-3 times a week when I'm "bored" after work. When I order stuff online I usually return it here also. This place has a HUGE section for women that I avoid so you gonna have to look elsewhere for that opinion. It gets crowded on clear the rack days and holiday and the check-out line gets long. Also overall Nordstrom needs to invest in better tech for their mobile pay terminals. It's too slow and prone to errors and long lines can form behind the employees checking people out. Overall, always been a good experience...
Read moreI went in to look for shoes. The staff started following me around immediately. I dress in all black and more "alternative" so I'm used to being judged, however it made me feel super uncomfortable. A lady and her daughter walked by me and the lady said "I don't like the looks of that woman stay away from her" so I hissed at her. She must have complained because the staff became more aggressive at following me and scowling at me, throwing tons of negative energy at me. I went to look for a bra , picked one up and a tag fell of it. Not the bras tag, another bras tag , I didn't know where it went so I fixed it and hung it back on a bra near by. I bought shoes and one bra and as I was leaving I was yelled at "don't come back! Where's the bra you stole!" I don't steal. They harassed me. It's Nordstroms rack not the taj mahal . You all should be ashamed...
