I don't give out a lot of five-star reviews, but the warm staff and the offering of two Ethiopian coffees put my experience over the top. In the neighborhood for the recurring Saturday Hillsboro Farmer's Market, I found myself facing a large selection of brewed coffee choices, two of them unfamiliar Ethiopian varietals. Crazy excited, as Yirgacheffe and Harrar are two of my favorites, I peppered the staff with questions and taste-tested them both. The staff weren't as clued-in about the provenance of the coffees as I would have liked, but with good cheer they mightily investigated. The beans are a bit more expensive than I would have liked, enough to make shopping here a special event rather than a regular pattern, but it's such a good feeling to know the good stuff is out there. The café is a welcoming, comfortable place to sit and socialize or to bring a laptop to work, and that's another nice thing. Lastly, it's near to the Hatfield Government Center MAX Station, so it's all a big, tasty win.

Very nice mellow typical pdx coffee shop vibe. Vegan friendly options as well. Update: I went there and asked for an iced americano. As I left and took a sip, there was very little ice left, and the coffee was luke warm and bitter, like stale shots sitting too long. When I went back and asked them to remake it, the girl behind the bar was short and temperamental, stating, "If you wanted it with that much ice, you should have asked for extra ice." I replied with, "It's warm, i asked for an iced drink. This is not at all cold." she remade it, and it tasted terrible, but at least it was actually cold the second time around.. needless to say, I've found another coffee shop that makes my iced drinks cold.

This place is great! The vibes are awesome and the staff is great. Service is prompt and food and drinks delicious. They offer a variety of pastries and cookies and several dairy alternative milks. Last visit, 4/9/22 their oven was unfortunately broken but I was still able to get my breakfast deconstructed. They toasted the bagel and gave me the other options so I could just pop it in the microwave at work. Turned out pretty good! 10/8/22 April and Sam were a great start to My long work day. Friendly and conversational even for 7am. Food/drink was good as always. They definitely need to find a better oven solution as the current one is consistently on the fritz.

I normally love Insomnia but this location needs some customer service attention. It was my first time at this location, placed my order for a sandwich, I didn't care for an ingredient on the sandwich but noticed a sign that states, "No changes to orders" I asked if its possible to not have a tomato on my sandwich, which I was told NO, changes are not made for customers?!?! Not a good idea, or tells me customers needs are low in the list. My friend got coffee & cinnamon roll, it prompts you to select a tip amount, I believe 20% was the "lowest" of the options, I do think custom tip or no tip was an option as well. Selected 20% leaving around $3 something, fine, they got my name. Sat down, waited, after a while when my name was never called, I realized my sandwich had been sitting on the counter, went up, asked if it was mine, gal shrugged & said, "I guess." Umm okay, sandwich was not great, tasted like soggy bread, you clear your own table, it felt like I earned my own tip. My friend apparently knows the owner, he came by our table & said hello, very friendly & nice, I hope he cares about constructive customer advise. Not impressed with...

24/4/27 Still love to drink Aztec Mocha Yum but I tried it cold with extra ice this time - more YUMMY. Pair with some Sriracha bagrl with cream cheese. Best combination.

23/7/4 Happy 4th of July. Was not expecting the coffee shop to be opened. Very happy to pick up some yummy ice cold lemonade after watching the parade under very high temperatures.

8/3/22 our 1st time to try this very cute coffee shop on Hillsboro's Main Street. We loved the cold brew coffee and the cold brew lemonade (amazing taste). The raspberry lemon cookie was heavenly. They close at 6pm everyday so we we're able to try them until now that were on vacation.

Looking forward to visiting more and trying more beverages & pastry.

22/9/30 Definitely voting for the Aztec Mocha Yum - simply yummy 😋😋😋. Finally able to try their Breakfast Biscuit (warm and fluffy with Egg & Sausage) was just heavenly. Not a biscuit fan but will have this for breakfast again. Usually not available...
