Make a trip to downtown Hillsboro and be pleasantly surprised with a trip to the upscale ultra lounge vibe at 3 Goats Winery. Melly, Graham, and Hershel are the three goats who inspired the name of the vineyard and winery. Inside the tasting room you'll find decor akin to a journey to an enchanted rabbit hole that opens into a secret garden. Dark intense black and green is contrasted with vibrant florals, touches of bronze forest animals, and maps of their roots in NorCal. Although the three goats are not physically present at the tasting room, Hershel does have a lounge named after him. This space is available for rental and reservation. Perfect for meetings or private tasting experiences. With proximity to Hillsboro Civic Center and Washington County offices, the space is ready to receive professionals and Farmers Market visitors. Their boutique and approachable luxury branding is sure to be noticed by locals and visitors alike. The bubbly personality of Candice shines through with each pour on a flight. You feel her genuine warmth and hospitality, like you're a guest at their home. Chris, the winemaker, bustles around chatting and sharing information about the vineyard. Off season he is also the vineyard manager of their five acre property out in Gaston. After a visit to 3 Goats, you'll be craving a s'more and likely to have joined...
Read moreMy wife Erma and I had heard wonderful things about 3 Goats Winery and it had been on our list of Wineries that we wanted to check out. We were not disappointed! We went to their tasting room in Forest Grove, Oregon. It was a sunny Friday afternoon in January and we walked the quaint little town until the tasting room opened at 3pm. We were cheerfully greeted by Paxton who welcomed us and gave a a rundown on the tasting flight. We enjoyed the 2023 Riesling, the 2023 Sauvignon Blanc, a 2022 Syrah, and their 2022 Midnight which was 50/50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot which was my favorite. We bought a few bottles of the tastings plus 2 more bottles of their Pinot Noir which we had tried in the past from a friend which is terrific IMHO. We also purchased a couple of T-Shirts because we really liked the logo. (See photo) All in all it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. We felt the wine was of the highest quality and Paxton made a point of highlighting the winery’s most recent achievements of gold and silver medal awards at the most recent competition. I highly recommend 3 Goats Winery! I can’t wait to open our...
