We're so lucky to have this treasure in downtown Hillsboro. I'm the target audience as a Gen X 80's arcade kid. And they definitely nailed it. Write down to the carpet and the lights, the food menu although it's way better than you would expect for an arcade bar, the cocktails and the beer selection. Everything is like it's stuck in time in 1984. But it's super clean and the staff is extremely informative and helpful. Games are only $0.50 which is crazy because most places are about two bucks to play now which I hate. The games are original antiques and in excellent repair. I asked the manager why a couple of the games were out of service and he explained that he does all of the work on the old equipment himself and it's very difficult to find parts. Very impressive! Most places would just replace these with modern versions loaded with a bunch of games on them. The drinks are pretty strong so watch out because they taste so good you won't notice at first. And they have a crazy homemade root beer that has three different alcohol versions that they make in-house with nitrogen. Very good pizza, delicious pretzels with homemade beer sauce, lots to like. Extremely affordable. Best of all it seems like there's always a wide variety of types of people and age groups there and I'm surprised how many young people seem to love it. They have a couple of karaoke nights which seem to be well attended when I've been there. I hope this place sticks around. They said they made it through the difficult pandemic years and they are still here. They've been very busy on the nights I've been there so I hope they don't go anywhere now that we live nearby. This is the coolest place in the downtown Hillsboro area or really anywhere in the PDX metro area. Highly...

ARCADE 2084 is possibly the only way a person can go back in time, without physically going there.
NOTHING here is "on display. EVERYTHING is functional, working like new and maintained to be touched, felt, and played like our ancestors once did during their lifetime.
These are the original top-of-the-line Game Machines that once existed from that era.
On my first visit, I was lucky enough to meet a person named Eric who turned out to be one of the time travelers who made everything possible.
Everything here is available for everyone, unlike a museum that has to protect such rare pieces as these.
The technology and everything you will find inside the arcade was intentionally and carefully, brought for us here in 2024.
I am glad that they "took their time" traveling back to gather only the best electronics, music, foods and drinks.
They accessed that old world to share that history today.
THANKS AGAIN TO THESE WONDERFUL DISTANT TRAVELING FRIENDS OF THE FUTURE WORLD!
We were gifted a public service! That world and the history may have been lost...
