I love Starbucks. I like the coffee, I typically like the employee and the service; it is usually pretty quick. This particular location is an exception. I only stopped because its right on the way to work and to home, it's close. Today was a reminder why I don't like it. I arrived about 10am, the line of cars looked long so I walked up to the walk up window. I waited about 12 minutes to be helped due to the line. I asked for a cup of the dark roast, she said we're out that I could do a pour over. Not typically a bad answer, but I've already waited about 15 minutes I'm running late and now I need to go. So, I say okay just give me a cup of Pikes roast. Then she tells me I'm sorry we are out of all coffee we have no coffee of any roast ready. They all would be a pour over. I said I'm sorry I can't wait and that was the end of the conversation. You would have thought there would be a better apology, maybe a "here is a free cup on us next time, sorry for the inconvenience", some sign of wishing they had done a better job other than "next". I will probably come back as the experience is about 50/50 and they have the location but I will never cease to wish they were better. This is the only review I have written on them, I wish I could say it was the only time I have had this experience. I just wish there was another drive through that was convenient for me. I guess I will have to just make coffee at home if...
Read moreThis location has been great until recently. I have always had great experiences, drinks, and staff until recently. Now, there's an employee that has an attitude and doesn't even care for being there for customers. I've had them 3 times now all different days, and they don't even greet correctly or even smile or care. I'm sorry, but there are others out there wanting a job that would smile and greet their customers correctly. Plus, the worst part with this employee is I go through the drive-thru to get my birthday drink. When I got to the window, I said I wanted to use my birthday drink on the app. She didn't even care. She just scanned and took the money from my app. Luckily, I called maybe 10 minutes after leaving, and the manager apologized and said to come in and get it replaced with a free drink the next day. But I'm sorry, I just don't feel like going to this location anymore with having to deal with this employee anymore. I hate to say it now, but I'm walking up to the window so I don't have to deal with it. I will just walk away if I have to deal with them. I'm sorry but really!? I'm not the only one with thoughts on this employee either. Everyone at the clinic I work with has dealt with them and has chosen to start driving further down the street to another coffee shop before going back...
Read moreI get very simple drinks, typically I add 2 pumps of either white chocolate or brown sugar to whatever drink I’m getting and I always add cinnamon dolce topping. Yet somehow they’ve only put the topping for me once and my drink is always watered down. I have to do delivery sometimes because I’m at work by the time I want Starbucks, and they tend to not make the drinks how they’re ordered since it’s a delivery, even though we’re paying more when we’re doing delivery. It’s $1.00 for syrup, toppings, sauces, etc. so I’m paying extra to get my drink made with less quality. I’m saying this because I’m a former Starbucks employee as well, so I know what the drinks are supposed to look like, taste like, smell like etc. I’ve recently moved up to a higher paying job but I always loved Starbucks. I’m just tired of not getting what I paid for. I’m not sure if I just need to stop going to this location because I guess I knew beforehand that this specific location wasn’t a favorite spot for customers or other baristas. Maybe I’ll stick with the sunset esplanade location and if I can’t get it from sunset esplanade then...
