The Antojitos House — Restaurant in Hillsboro

I stumbled upon this place after a long day of showing homes. I was so hungry & the owner was kind enough to make me something very quickly while my main course was making. I ordered the pollo & the queso pupas empanadas + the arepas pollo. The empanadas were so crunchy & kept their crunch during travel time. Everything had such an amazing flavor! I'm always leery of shredded chicken but this chicken was juicy & so delish. The hot salsa was also very good with great spice. I honestly wish it would have been spicier.

The owner was so personable & easy to talk with. She is a hard worker who takes pride in her food. I appreciated the smaller menu because it helped with decision making & keeping things simple!

My only suggestion was to have a light up sign as it was a bit hard to find in the complex.

Really one of the best little gems in the area. Delicious latin food. The empanadas are highly recommended as are the baleadas with all the fixings. That being said, everything I've eaten here has been fantastic so order anything. The service is polite, courteous, gracious, and very helpful. Treat them well, they deserve it. I once ordered delivery, and the driver forgot part of my order. They called me minutes after the driver left the store and let me know they were refunded the forgotten items. Fantastic. The only downside is that they're tucked into the corner of a strip mall and seating is sparse here. Meaning sometimes you'll just have to order to go.

This is a hidden gem you’ll go back to over and over again. The empanadas are the best you’ll ever have - it is hands down a winner. Beef/ potato &cheese/chicken- You can’t have just one. The things they do to plantains here are magical, from a crispy sandwich, lightly fried and served with steak, sweet and fried- all great. The pupusas are a perfect texture and the rolled tacos are topped with greens and queso. The sopas are fresh. Actually, the quality of everything is extremely fresh. The space to sit is comfy and there is some snack merchandise you should check out.

My favorite part about the place is the mother daughter duo. Both are super friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming. You really feel the warmth...
