Twice in one day, I pull up to the drive-thru speaker to order. Wait, no answer. First time I pull up to the window, she walks by the window for almost two minutes before I finally had to get her attention and explain that I hadnât ordered yet. Finally get my food; not even what I ordered. Oh well, mistakes happen.
Come back at lunch time to get tacos for the family. Again, nothing at the speaker. I pull up to the window, same girl there looking at me with a just plain disrespectful look and says âI didnât hear anything.â I told her that I waited and suggested that maybe it was my truck; I drive a diesel. I place my order and Iâm patiently waiting when the manager on duty âNicoâ, comes to the window, opens it and asks âWhen you pulled into the driveâthru, which board did you go to? The first or the second?â I said âThe second, the only one with the speaker.â He literally, looks me in the eye and says âOh, well none of us heard you. It was probably YOUR FAULTâ and then closes the drive-thru window in my face and walks away as Iâm saying âExcuse me?!â
As Jessic returns with my food and smirk on her face, I tell her to have the manager come back to the window. As I proceed to question him (no yelling, swearing, anything like that) as to whether or not he seriously just handled me as a customer, like that as a manager? He has the nerve to stand there and SMILE AT ME the turning away from me and just repeatedly gives me a âthumbs upâ symbol with his hand.

   Read moreJust got food, me and husband, I order the new sourdough breakfast sandwich, guy who look our order jumped behind the counter cause other girl couldn't take his order. 15 minutes go by and our food is sitting under heat lamp because they forgot who it went to. I work in the restaurant industry so I get it mistakes happen. The transaction was a little weird. Then I began to eat my food, the egg was green, the yoke part. I pulled the meat out and ate it, leaving the egg in the basket. I took the egg up to the counter showed that it was green and the lady with three other staff members smirk amongst themselves and refuse to give me my money back saying I should have know before I ate it that it was rotten so they shouldn't have to give me my money back. I didn't ask for the full price of my ticket, nor the full price of my combo, just return of the money I spent on a green egged sandwich. The rudeness of these people as they all four treated me like I was trying to get one over them was above and beyond, especially with the started speaking to each other in Spanish. Let me paint a picture of despair for you. I walk into Jack in the Box, expecting a basic level of human decency and service. What I got instead was a scene straight out of a post-apocalyptic ghost town. Not a single customer in sightâzero. Zilch. Nada. Just me, standing there like a lost soul in a fast food purgatory.
Ten minutes. Thatâs how long I stood there, in deafening silence, with zero acknowledgment from any employee. No âHi,â no âWeâll be right with you,â not even a disinterested grunt from the back. I could have collapsed right there on the floor and started decomposing before anyone noticed.
Itâs not like they were swamped. The place was as empty as their will to serve. I honestly started to wonder if I had walked into a closed-down location that just forgot to lock the door. But nopeâI could hear movement in the back. They were just ignoring me. Purposefully? Who knows. But it felt personal.
Iâve had better service from vending machines. Worst customer service Iâve ever encountered in a food establishment, period.
