We have gone to this Burger King since my kids were small, which is over 20 years. Hadn't been inside for a long time, due to the pandemic, of course. About two weeks ago, we decided to dine in. First off, we stood waiting while the workers stood around talking. Then, the woman who took our order was rude and acted like we were wasting her time. When I asked a question (twice), instead of politely saying, "Excuse me?" when she didn't hear me, she just says, "What?" When I asked for a lot of ketchup, she looks at me with a sarcastic look on her face and says, "Well, what is a lot to you?" When I told her about 20 packets, she grabs about 100 packets and slams them on the counter. When our order was finally ready, she forgets our cheese sticks. When I tell her and she yells back to the cook, they THROW the cheese sticks (from a distance) into the warmer. In addition, the drink machine was broken, the tables and floors were dirty with food and just plain dirt. When I went into the bathroom, it was also dirty. This was not due to not being able to get to it because of being busy. They were not busy at all from the time we got there until the time we left. I was so disgusted and disappointed. I doubt we will ever go back, after all these years of going there. People should take pride in their work, especially when preparing and serving food for others. You're not doing us a favor- we're paying for this service! If it weren't for the customers, you wouldn't have a job!
December 31, 2022: This won't allow me to write a new review so adding to the one from two months ago.The Hobart Burger King has gone down so much! Have had several times where the food had obviously been sitting for too long. Today we went there and my son ordered two burgers with no pickles. He bit into one and could taste the pickle juice left over from them just pulliing off pickles instead of making him a fresh sandwich. Further, I checked the burger and could see the pickle shaped indent in the cheese! It's fortune for us that he didn't have an allergy to pickles. So is Burger King- they would have a huge lawsuit! Never again...
Read moreThis is hands-down the worst Burger King I have ever been to in my entire life and I grew up in East Chicago the Burger King out there is better when it was when it was open have to be before the fire I ordered on the mobile app got to the restaurant about 10 minutes after it said my food should’ve been done Pulled up to the drive-through. It’s about 12:10 in the afternoon there was nobody in line at the drive-through nobody inside the restaurant I pulled up to the drive-through speaker. She got on and said if I could hold a few minutes I said OK. I sat there for about another two minutes. She asked about what I would like to get. I told her that I had a mobile order that I had put in and she asked me the name and I gave her my name and she asked me to pull to the window When I got to the window. I sat at the drive-through window for about another 10 minutes waiting for my food to be prepared when I got it I drove home. I ordered the original chicken sandwiches, which are my favorite from Burger King and I love Burger King so don’t get me wrong. I’m not just hating on them. I go there all the time. The chicken sandwiches were overdone look like they were already cooked and then thrown back into the oil to make them hot and then made me sit there to make it look like they’re making them fresh like I said there was no customers there when I got there so I don’t know what the holdup was but this place always has a long wait for food, no matter what time of day and the quality of food. The preparation is ridiculous. I know people from the peanut gallery gonna start saying well then don’t go there I won’t be going I only went there because of convenience. I’ll have to find another Burger King in the area maybe Lake Station or Portage the employees were polite. It’s just they took forever to get my food and then it was overcooked...
Read moreI ordered two ham, egg, and cheese croissants at the drive thru this morning and I've never had a problem at this location until today. The service was horrible. As the woman was taking my order at the drive thru, I could hear the cook yelling and going off about something in the background. Maybe because they were short staffed, I don't know. Anyways, to my surprise when I got home there was no ham on the sandwiches. Just egg and cheese. So I went back through the drive thru and explained to the woman what happened and the woman instantly apologized as if she knew my 1st order wasn't made correctly when she handed me the bag and stated that she would make two more right away. After receiving my second order, I pulled off and then something told me to stop and check my order before leaving this time. Well yet again, to my surprise the croissants were missing cheese so, I parked and went inside. I told the woman that my order is still wrong. The croissants are now missing cheese. She smirked a little like it was a joke and said that she was so sorry again. I thought to myself that this felt intentional after having two wrong orders and two apologies, especially when the 2nd apology came with a grin so, I politely asked for my money back and she refunded my order. I then politely said thank you and she politely said you're welcome and I walked off. I think she expected more of a reaction from me but she was wrong. It wasn't worth my time or energy. How difficult is it to put ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant? Wouldn't you double check an order if you messed it up the 1st time? I went to McDonald's across the street and they were friendly, quick, thé food was good, and most of all my order was correct the 1st time. I will not be returning to this Burger King...
