I know in our area we have an abundance of Asian cuisine; Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese food, and here at the new Tokyo 8 restaurant, for the atmosphere, the prices, and the food variety, it can't be a better first date night dining in, dinner with the family, or if you want to just get something to go, they have something for you here at Tokyo 8. (Name that comes up when charging)
I had a wonderful experience with my family, since they recently opened where the other Pho place was, and before that it was an Arby's. I know the building itself has changed hands quite often over the years, but this place now is a good fit. I enjoyed the time with my family here.
Pros: variety of foods and drinks to try, menu can be a bit overwhelming for the first timer, but try something you are used to, or branch out and try something you never had before, broadening your spectrum on food tastes and cultures. You won't regret it. Staff was amazing, friendly, and from many different parts of cultures, get to know them and ask.
Cons: while everyone having their own tastes, some food is subjective while in others it is objective in some cases. I can't make ice cream and call it alternative rice, so be prepared if you expect runny soup like something and it comes to you viscously thick porridge. Still flavorful and tasteful while having the spice kick it needed, but not what I expected.
I understand they are starting out, but they will soon settle in and get a grasp on things, it's only been less than a month since they have been open. I'm surely positive, if the owner is willing to put God first, He will direct their paths and make them straight. Acknowledge Him. I will be coming back as a returning customer and as a local. Thank you again for the wonderful time spent. No...
Read moreRestaurant is very clean. Furnishings are new and nice. Nothing unique about the atmosphere, but it is pleasant. Prices are what you’d pay for hibachi cooked in front of you pre-COVID…so not cheap but not crazy expensive. It’s hibachi cooking without the cook making it in front of you and without the show. Service is fantastic! I had scallop and steak hibachi, clear soup, salad, egg roll, and chef’s choice sushi. Clear soup was extremely good. Salad was also very good. Sushi was delicious and moderately priced. The Diet Coke was served in a can and was $2.50 a can, which was disappointing. The steak and scallop hibachi was served with vegetables and fried rice. There were 6 pieces of scallops and they were delicious. The steak was very disappointing; it was a very cheap cut of sirloin that lacked flavor and texture. It was cooked in a thick teriyaki sauce, but that still didn’t compensate for the lack of flavor and almost mealy texture. The fried rice was more than plain, no egg or onion or anything….just rice with soy sauce. The vegetables were very tasty. My husband had shrimp, scallop, and chicken. It was in some strange pinkish sauce that was not soy or teriyaki that was kind of disappointing. Also, the egg rolls are exactly like the spring rolls…same wrapper and size…but they have pork in them. After all the extras (hibachi comes with soup OR salad, not both) we spent right at $85.00. Although it wasn’t terrible, and there were definitely some things done very well, it just was not worth the money for the quality of food served. We probably...

The menu is varied, offering an impressive selection of authentic Japanese dishes, from fresh sushi and sashimi to perfectly cooked tempura and ramen. Each dish is crafted with care, and the presentation is stunning! The sushi is particularly outstanding — the fish is incredibly fresh, and the flavors are perfectly balanced.
One standout was the tasting menu, which allowed us to try several of the chef’s specialties. Each course was an adventure, introducing us to flavors and textures we hadn't experienced before. The sake selection is also well-curated, with options to pair perfectly with each dish.
Overall, Tokyo 8 is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates high-quality Japanese cuisine. It’s the perfect spot for a special occasion or a relaxed night out with friends. Highly...
