Found this place on tiktok. The food was delicious. Paul the host and our server George were amazing. Paul was very welcoming and took the time to greet us and make convo. George was quick, efficient, and dedicated to making sure we enjoyed our meal. George noticed we didn’t like one of the cheeses and he offered to get us another one to try. We were too hungry to take pics but had the formaggi, spicy pizza, and rigatoni vodka. It was fresh, hot, and flavorful.

The decor is laid back and the vibe is casual. Definitely a young crowd. We went on a rainy day and they were doing their best to add more tables indoors. Wait was 30-40 mins.*Also, the place is BYOB *without ** a cork fee!! Loved that!! A liquor store is down the street. Only thing id have to say is they have some younger servers that would ignore questions or not do what we asked. When we placed our name on the wait list we were told an hour wait. When I called to ask for an update they told us they couldn’t give us one and that they’d text us. However, at the same time we had a text saying the table was ready. Inconvenient since we had do rush from a nearby spot. However, if you’re looking for a delicious meal with a family feel I’d definitely give 8th...

If you're in the mood for good Italian cuisine, Otto Strada is the perfect destination. This charming BYOB restaurant offers a delightful experience that brings the flavors of Italy right to your table. While the indoor seating can get quite loud during dinner, the outdoor area provides a much more enjoyable atmosphere for a relaxed meal.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the pastas. We tried the Linguine con Pesto di Pepe Rosso, and to our delight, the staff graciously accommodated our request to switch to green pepper. The result was a beautifully balanced dish with vibrant flavors and a rich pesto sauce that perfectly coated the linguine.

Next, we tried the Spaghetti Aglio Olio, which packed a little more heat than your typical preparation. The added spice gave it a delightful kick, elevating this classic dish and making it an exciting choice for those who enjoy a bit of zest in their pasta.

While the pizza was decent, it was clear that the pastas stole the show...

I ordered a meal from Otto Strada on seamless. I took a bite into the food and found twisted metal that was a major health hazard and could easily cut your digestive tract. Luckily I found it before I swallowed it! I called the restaurant asking for a refund and they gave us a hard time telling us it was likely from a cleaning brush that got stuck in the dish used to prepare the food. They did not want to give us a refund but after complaining consented to do so. After giving them a week, I still had not gotten the refund. I was forced to go through Seamless to get a full refund.

These are two major mistakes that are unacceptable for what is supposed to be a great restaurant. Food has health hazards and management is rude and does not take problems like this seriously.

I’ll be filing a complaint with the health department and BBB as well, the restaurant could have made it right but they failed to do so. For your physical and mental health do not go to this restaurant in any...

Wow. Very impressive Italian food. By far the best I’ve had in the area. There is a catch though — they don’t take reservations and it’s a pretty small restaurant. You absolutely MUST get here earlier than you expect to eat, and you should be prepared to wait up to an hour+ on the weekend. If you can endure the wait, you’re duly rewarded with an exceptional dining experience. The service is great, the menu is appropriately sized, and the food is superb. Plus it’s BYOB! I highly recommend the outdoor seating since: (1) it’s heated and insulated, and (2) it is private. Because the restaurant is so popular, the door to the indoor dining area is constantly being opened by people coming and going, and it brings in rush of cold air. Highly recommend this place if the wait doesn’t scare you, and you’re a smaller party. Big groups will have to wait even longer.

Otto Strada is the best restaurant in Hoboken and, if nothing else, the best Italian food in Hoboken. I'm lucky enough to live close by and have been WOW'd every time. The Smoky Guanciale Campanella special is outstanding; with sweet onions, white wine, smoky paprika, guanciale, garlic, evoo, and burrata. Awesome dish but very rich. I remember needing pasta on a cold night, so it was perfect. In the past I've had the Capellini with pancetta, brussel sprouts, and porcini mushrooms and it's an amazing dish. The Bolognese is excellent. Another special was a creamy pasta with mushrooms and truffles, which was unsurprisingly wonderful. The Spinach & Egg Carbonara is good albeit a little heavy. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and it's BYOB. There's a reason why it's always as crowded as it is. This place doesn't mess around.
