This new brunch spot is an amazing addition to Hoboken’s culinary landscape. This isn't just brunch; it felt like a meticulously crafted culinary journey.
For our main courses, I ordered the sensational ricotta scrambled eggs, cooked to a juicy texture. It came paired with a vibrant cucumber and tomato salad that was bright and flavor-forward, making the entire plate feel incredibly wholesome, nourishing, and deeply satisfying. It’s the perfect antidote to the heavy, predictable brunch fare found elsewhere.
My husband's selection, the breakfast burrito, was equally impressive, featuring unbelievably tender shredded beef that was bold, savory, and perfectly seasoned. It came with a flavorful aioli sauce that I also tried and looveddd!
For a sweeter finish, we had the ricotta pancakes with a blueberry compote. They were notably flavorful and held a pleasant, substantial texture. While they weren't strictly dry, we added a side of maple syrup to achieve that super moist, decadent result—a simple tweak that made them even better.
The drinks were a highlight! I enjoyed an amazing iced lavender matcha latte (probably my favorite in Hoboken - sounds that they offer lavender year round 😍) and it was super creamy and perfectly balanced, expertly prepared by Meghan. My husband’s coffee was also amazing (and I’m not even a coffee drinker but surprisingly I enjoyed several sips!), served with beautiful latte art, showcasing Eli’s barista skills.
We enjoyed the pleasant outdoor dining area (first come, first served; we waited only 10 minutes and were able to dine with our dog—a huge plus!). If outdoor dining is a must, try to arrive a little early. It's absolutely worth the short wait! If you have a bigger dog (mine is only 30lbs), the front tables have a larger semi-closed area so you can enjoy brunch without your dog saying hi to every person that passes by!
The service was warm, welcoming, and highly attentive. A special shout-out to Shirley, who was super friendly and made us feel right at home (and even remembered my name throughout the dining experience!) The owner also had stopped by to say hello which was a nice touch for a new local small business in the area! Highly recommend trying this new spot...
Read moreUnfortunately did not enjoy and will not be coming back. I found everything to very overpriced (as it is in Hoboken but extra so). The worst item by far was the Egg Toastie - threw it away after one bite. Firstly, I asked for no red pepper on top and they still served it with it. The cashier confirmed they could do that but I guess not... Then, by the time I had gotten home in 10 min, the bread was completely soaked with watery egg mixture. It was like a disgusting wet sponge. The egg ricotta mix was grainy and not flavorful. Disgusting and very overpriced. Breakfast Burrito was fine, nothing too special as you would expect from the description. The meat was not flavorful and almost sweet. Zatar and Cinnamon Focaccia tasted good, however very small for the price and overly chewy. I would prefer if they cut up the mint leaf on the sandwich as they are not very pleasant to eat whole. The cinnamon filling is gluey and thick. I had to wait almost 20min on a quiet weekday for two egg based item and it looked like the kitchen was well staffed. Overall I think they have a lot to improve on and there are much better places for similar things...
Read moreI wanted to love this place so much. We decided to order take out during an off peak hour since it’s been so hard to find a seat lately. Ordered on Monday morning (8/25) around 9 am, 25-30 mins, husband picked it up and it was cold with condensation all over the boxes and soggy food (we would have picked it up earlier if we new it was ready sooner). This is the sauce that came with the burrito. A less than half full cup of creme that looked old and used. It has small chunks in it and some dry parts stuck to the side of the cup. Not sure if this is normal, but threw it away. Burrito was good, lemon ricotta pancakes were not. It may have been because I needed to reheat the food. Kids pancakes were 3 the size of my palm mixed in the same box with Parmesan fries. The kids refused to eat the pancakes because they smelled and tasted like the Parmesan fries. I thought it was just regular fries and that’s my fault for assuming.
All in all I really want to give this place another try. I don’t recommend ordering take-out, it seems this food might be better if served right away. Maybe the food is more fresh when it’s...
