February 22, 2025 1:30 pm As I was driving through Payson on my way here to Holbrook. I couldn't make up my mind whether to stop and eat at one of the diners in Heber-Overgaard or Holbrook. Once I saw the BBQ spot listing...my mind was made up. I ordered the pork ribs with baked beans (ground beef mixed in) and the Mac & Cheese. I had a Brat link, too. I got back to my hotel, and all that food was gone in minutes. Tasty and Delicious! I took a picture after I began eating... On my next stay in town, I'll try something different. Give it a try, folks. The food was great.

Jeremiah has a real talent. Meats are off-the-chart good. Sides are solid as well, though (and this might just be my style) they could stand a bit more seasoning. The stars of his menu are the meats so sides (I had collared greens and potatoe salad) may be a moot point. I was bummed that he had run out of peach cobbler, so I couldn't review that. As he gains more foodie fans, he'll get a bigger place to accommodate all his customers.

Classic BBQ straight out of Texas. Brisket is flavorful and tender with a great smoke ring. Pulled pork is juicy and savory. Traditional southern sides are all homemade and fresh. Save some room for peach cobbler! I need to try the beautiful looking ribs the next time I stop by. This is a must-stop if you’re hungry while passing through Holbrook.

There aren't a lot of restaurant choices in Holbrook, but BBQ sounded good our second night and we wanted to eat in at our hotel. To-go ordering was easy and the guy helping us was super nice. Now, we live in Texas and tend to do our own BBQ at home, so we might be judgy, but this was just okay. The meats were very good - sauce was average (would be nice to have a couple to choose from - one sweet, once spicy). We all picked mac & cheese for the side, based on reviews, but it was strange. It was more like macaroni noodles with a ton of cheddar stirred in and on top. It wasn't creamy, kind of oily and broken, and again, a thick layer of melted cheese on top. It did hit the spot after a long day at the National Park, but not sure it would hold up well here in Texas. Just get there early, as with most BBQ joints, stuff sells out and they can't just go...

Accidentally stumbled across the best BBQ I have ever had traveling back home to Texas (the land of BBQ)! Jeremiah, the one man show, greeted us with welcoming energy at the door, directed us to the menu and told us to have a seat he would bring our food over. Ordered pulled pork and brisket and mentioned I don’t like a lot of fat in my meat. The meat was trimmed nicely with little to no fat as requested, large portions, perfect temperature, moist and the perfect amount of smoke and seasoning. We even ordered more to take along the trip with us it was really that good! It was lunch so didn’t try any sides or deserts but saw many other customers with them and they looked amazing. Would def make this a priority stop whenever I am in the area. Thanks for the experience and great food and keep up the good...

We were travelling from Ohio to Arizona and were on the last leg if our trip. We needed to get out and stretch our legs and get a bite to eat to make that last push to our destination. We came across Big Fellas BBQ in Holbrook and, based on the good reviews, we decided to stop. As soon as we got out of our vehicle, I knew we had made a good decision. The food was great! The young man who owns the business does everything himself. He is truly a one man show. He hasn't been in business long, but I see great things in his future. The space itself is a bit of a work in process, but the food is the star of the show! We hope to stop again on our...
