China House — Restaurant in Holiday

Well, I had a very strange and disappointing experience tonight. I don't typically leave reviews but if others had high hopes like I did I feel it's best to share. Tonight we ordered 3 meals. Two of them came correctly (one was super soggy sweet and sour chicken, but it came), the third was supposed to be "Happy Family with no water chestnuts". Honey chicken came instead. I wasn't upset, mistakes happen, I called and let them know. They told me what I ordered was a #6, but he rang in a #7. Okay, cool, whatever, but then instead of just leaving the wrong food so my husband had something to munch on while we waited for delivery again they made me return it. I have NEVER been asked to send back old, cold food that was no fault of my own. (Maybe that's where my soggy sweet and sour chicken came from, someones return lol) That was the strangest thing to me. Anyways, so we received it and this is the first time I have received a happy family with not one single shrimp. Two small pieces of imitation crab meat, chicken, chewy beef and super hard pork. Ordinarily I am satisfied with the food and service that I receive here. Truthfully, I prefer the place by Publix in Holiday, yet I ordered from this place today and received BURNT YES BURNT chicken wings and a small order of rice despite ordering and paying for large. I wasn't too concerned about the rice, but definitely disappointed in the wings. Be mindful that I ordered delivery AND I spent close to $30 and tipped $5.00 to the driver. I called PROMPTLY once tasting the chicken informing the young lady that my chicken was BURNT and her response was "it's NOT burnt" "what would you like me to do about it" I was totally disappointed in her inconsiderate lack of concern or even an attempt to simply offer to replace the chicken and get me a large rice OR AT THE LEAST OFFER A CREDIT FOR A FUTURE PURCHASE. Customer Service is something that I can not do without and I refuse to give my money to a company who do NOT VALUE ITS CUSTOMERS OR AT LEAST VALUE THE FOOD THAT THEY ALLOW THEIR CUSTOMERS TO RECEIVE. Went with a friend for pickup order. We both ordered the sweet and sour shrimp and the fried rice. The dipping sauce for the sweet and sour was delicious and generous amounts. The amount of shrimp was also a generous portion. It was a great combination dinner. I felt that the shrimp was large and tasty and it all combined for a very delicious Chinese meal.

The appetizers are a delicious start. My favorite are the fried dumplings, the stuffing is very very good and they're dipping sauce is really tasty. They have egg rolls and all the other similar menu items as other Chinese restaurants have for the appetizers. wontons soup and other items and a combination platters menu at the lower prices throughout the day.

One thing I like about China House is their willingness to deliver into New Port Richey. It is very helpful for those of us who enjoy their food. The owners are cordial and the menu is the same as all the other similar types of Chinese restaurants. The only difference is I prefer theirs as does my girlfriend.
