Mia has a personal gripe with the person I am dating. Iām only ever in Caputoās with this person, so I suspect she knew who the sandwiches were for. She just happened to give me the worst sandwich I have ever had at Caputoās. Undercooked everything, under seasoned, missing onions. It was Friday, 11:24 AM and I heard her voice calling for my order. This employee is not new, otherwise I would not have a problem with the mediocre sandwich. It was the fact that she has been there long enough, gave us a horrible sandwich, and then had placed our tiramisu sideways in the bag. It felt calculated and personal. If I did not think it was, I wouldnāt be complaining. Iām sure you have footage of her doing this that day. There is no reason for her to perform so badly unless it was on purpose. I apologize if this was a new employee, but I heard her calling my name so Iām certain it was her. Even then, I highly doubt even a new employee would place tiramisuās sideways because it smears and ruins presentation. The fact that she is still employed despite her lack of professionalism and emotional control is beyond me. there is no way this is her only instance of lacking maturity in the work place, and misrepresenting Caputoās. I really enjoy it here but I feel like what you are willing to put up with in terms of behavior from employees is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWeāve been loyal Caputoās customers for many years and have always had excellent experiences across locationsāknowledgeable staff, thoughtful recommendations and pairings, high-quality food orders, and the kind of service that goes above and beyond. Unfortunately, our recent experiences at the Holiday location have not lived up to the Caputoās standard weāve come to know and love.
Iāve had to speak with the Holiday manager on almost every order, whether pointing out that we requested a triple-cream brie and received something completely unrelated, or that our orders were made incorrectly or carelessly. Most recently, we were served cold coffee, and when I asked for a new hot cup, I was told it was from their āmost recent brew.ā The manager then offered to steam the old coffee instead of making a fresh one, and only after I suggested americanos did she reluctantly and rudely agree.
I want to make it clear this review is more for upper management than fellow customers. We genuinely value Caputoās and the important role the company plays in our community, but the Holiday location is in need of more thorough trainingāor possibly new managementāto maintain the level of excellence that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat can I say. You come here for excellent food service, yes, but more than that, the products. There are things you can't find anywhere else in Salt Lake, Utah, or even most places outside of their home countries. Chocolate can be intimidating, but my girlfriend and I got some help from Wyatt when he showed us his. favorite brands (there are like two aisles of chocolate so it was really overwhelming). He gave us many samples and has a passion for chocolate. He helped me understand a lot more and he even told us about the chocolate classes (although I don't know what they could teach that Wyatt hasn't already shared lol). My girlfriend bought a few bars from a French company name Cantu and I got a bunch of local chocolate that I am slowly enjoying. We only came here because I heard the food was good, but we ended up starting with chocolate and working our way through the entire store (thanks again for hurting my wallet, Wyatt lol). We first went in January and we have since been back at least once a week for various products we are hooked on. Come to Caputo's Holladay, get a sandwich, get a sample of chocolate, and have...
