OMG!!! The food = A+... The Service = A+... The Atmosphere =A+... Overall experience = priceless! I stopped in to Sharon's Cafe during my lunch break by myself, with little to no expectations! I had heard nothing about the place and simply wanted to step out of the norm (you know, 1 of those days, ughh!) and found it on Google Maps... In my 30-plus years I can't recall ever stepping through the front doors of a business and literally have my spirits lifted! Everything about the place is warm and inviting, every waitress (was REALLY CUTE) smiled and said "hello" or stopped at my booth and asked how I was doing. It's obvious they all seem to genuinely enjoy being there... So you won't be greeted by the typical name-tagged uniform with an antidepressant induced fake smile, that's on her 5th bathroom/smoke break right as you need your first drink refill like you get at most places!!! SO NOT COOL 😐! SHARON'S CAFE, I learned only serves breakfast and lunch so the menu reflects that and is relatively small... perfect for an indecisive guy on a short lunch break, or even a family full of picky eaters... I think most places give you too many choices which (at least for me) often fills my stomach with doubt and regret for over paying for something I wasn't 100% sure I wanted due to, 1/3 indecisiveness/1/3 limited-time/and 1/3 too many choices! The best part about Sharon's is they're more than willing to accommodate special requests and/or substitute items for dietary or any other reason... Plus, they won't nickel and dime you for such a request...! Bottom line is this, perhaps your experience isn't as Awesome as mine was, (HIGHLY DOUBTFUL! hey, just sayin) but you still owe it to yourself to go check out Sharon's Cafe, I can honestly say they now have a customer for life!
Sincerely,...
Read moreI went to brunch with my husband and a friend today. I had the Greek Omelette which came with home-style potatoes, fried red tomatoes, and toast or a biscuit. I chose the biscuit. We all split a scone, and got three coffees. The three of us ate for about 40.00 before tip.
The Greek Omelette contains green peppers and onions and is topped with a far too generous spoonful of feta cheese. The homestyle hash had some crunchy browned potatoes scattered through the rest, but they weren't flavorful. The overwhelming feta and bland potatoes were my only problems though. Everything else was fantastic. The fried red tomatoes were absolutely delicious, and the biscuit was obviously homemade, flaky and still hot from the oven. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna try their gravy and biscuits the next time I go, and I don't do gravy and biscuits. That's how good that biscuit was. The scone was darned tasty too, perfect with butter and honey.
I tried some of my husbands breakfast burrito, and we both agreed it was one of the best breakfast burritos we've had in the valley. Sharons variation actually made it to his top three breakfast burritos.
Let's talk about the service. I don't think I have ever seen food in a diner get out to a table so fast, and in such a busy restaurant. I've enjoyed brunches at the Park Cafe, The Original Pancake House, Even Stevens, Brittons, The Waffle House, but none of them were able to get the food out to us in the speed that Sharons did today. It didn't feel like half an hour after we'd ordered that our food was on our table. Our waitress was attentive, but not so attentive as to be intrusive.
So, I would recommend Sharons to anyone, just not the greek omelette...though those fried tomatoes might make...
Read moreSharon's Cafe is one of the few places I have found that I can order lunch for breakfast (which I love!). Their burgers are pretty good, I especially like the garlic burger which is served on garlic toast. I am a sucker for a good club sandwich and Sharon's does a pretty good one. As far as their breakfast items, Sharon's Special with marinated pork is divine. I also like their variety of specials.
The main reason why this place is my favorite breakfast/lunch joint is the owners and the staff. They are just so super friendly and really care about their customers. There are clearly a lot of regulars and you can see them (the customers) and the staff just chatting away - keeping tabs on their life and their struggles... all the while still delivering stellar service to everyone else.
Sharon is hands on and makes sure that things run smoothly. I appreciate that attention to detail. Sometimes when owners step back the quality of the restaurant declines and I appreciate that Sharon (and her hubby) keep on top of things. Plus her hubby is a retired cop... I'm not sure what it is about that but it kind of gives the place a "cop bar" type feel but in a breakfast spot. I like it. And my military friends like it. The place is just really down to earth with no form of...
