I go to San Diego, Mexico, Texas, all over the country and eat Mexican food.

Yesterday, I ate at Tacos El Cuñado for the first time, and I was blown away. It was delicious and authentic. Every bite was flavorful, and I wanted more and more.

I told my wife, "we will only eat here when we go get Mexican food. Nowhere else can beat this in the area."

The salsas are flavorful. The wet Burrito meal was generous with the portion size. The sautéed onion and jalapeños side was a nice compliment to the meal. I loved the rice and beans. The thick tortilla chips are perfect. Mmmm, pickled onion slaw authentic!

Worst Mexican food I have ever had. Would never eat here again. Ordered queso and got a bowl of disgusting nacho cheese that wasn't even as good as the cheese that you pull the plastic off of with movie theater nachos. The chips were cold and on the edge of stale and the salsa was completely bland. Beans were strange, apparently they have bacon in them, whatever, not good. Carne Asada in the burrito and quesa birria taco was the only thing with any flavor but overcooked with many hard pieces. Au jus for the birria tacos, also bland. Restaurant felt grimy like it needed a good scrub down and was completely empty. We should have taken the hint with no cars in the parking lot and went anywhere else. The...

I've driven past this restaurant multiple times and finally decided to stop in. This will now be a frequent visit for me! I grew up eating authentic Mexican food, so I can be very picky about it. This was like eating from my childhood! Finally some real tacos! The salsa was amazing, flavorful and good spice. I had the Tacos Trio and it filled me up! It came with a side of delicious Mexican rice and refried beans that leave you wanting more! I can't wait until my next visit, I may even go back for more in a couple hours!
