First let me say if I could give a zero star I would at this location in Holland Michigan. This has to be the worst customer service ever. I went inside the store on November 23, 2022 to have my wedding ring repaired for a diamond that was missing. I was given a promise date of December 3, 2022 upon that date I called to see if my ring was ready I was told that it has not been shipped yet. I was then told it would be at there store on Tuesday December 6, 2022... I called the store store and and was told its here it just hasnt been inspected yet (give us 2 hours) go there to pick up the ring is not there and I was told "we thought it was" was..... no concern on trying to resolve this issue just a lot of run around. Now I was told it would be there Thursday December 8, 2022 I called and was told the ring is there and ready for pick up. I go there to pick up the ring, watched the inspection and the diamond is still missing....i asked if anyone did any inspection prior to me coming (NOPE) they did not inspect the ring before I got there or anything had I not ask to see the ring under the microscope they would have given me the ring back in the same condition as before. No one there seem to have sincere empathy or concern that the ring was not repaired. Manager referred me to Jareds which is apparently a sister store whom fixed my ring the same day.............SHAMEFUL!!!! "Should have went to Jared" is the real deal! This is my WEDDING RING one of the most important things to me! Oh my...here we go again 4/20/2023. Read moreWent in to get battery replaced for my watch, the manager somehow broke my watch when he opened it up and refused to accept any responsibility in damaging it. He think its fair for me to pay for repairs. Dude's a quack. I didn't break the watch, its lightly used if ever. been sitting on the shelf until battery died. It was working just fine the last time I wore it. Their lifetime battery replacement is a joke, dude probably broke it so I wouldn't get any more free batteries or to sell me a new watch. I had 2 batteries replaced thru the plan, no issues till now.
Update...1/28/18 I tried talking to the manager at Kays for a resolution and the best idea they had was to send in the watch for repair and see what exactly was wrong. I still had to pay so no way I was doing that. I had few options for watch repair and found the best place in Rivertown Crossings Mall at a Jewelry Express Repairs kiosk ran by Hesham. He fixed my watch in like 15mins while I shopped around. all I paid was $37, way less than what Kay Jewelers wanted. If Kay breaks your watch get it repaired there and thank me later. Don't buy a watch from Holland's Kay Jeweler, you'll have great luck with your watch after the warranty period...

When I did so I was told it would take approximately three weeks to come back, wasn’t an issue at all at the time. Three weeks had passed and I still didn’t receive a call so I called them and was told it would take a few days longer because they had to send it someone else to get resized instead of their normal facility. I wasn’t notified at all that it would take longer but the lady apologized and I also work in customer service so I understood. A week passed and I decided to call to find out the issue. The ring was there for a few days and when I asked why I didn’t get a phone call the lady proceeded to tell me I didn’t have a number with them when I gave them one at the date of drop off and even verified it on the phone as well. Once I went in to get it the lady at the counter proceeded to tell me how small my ring was and how small my fingers were, then decided to tell me how small of a person I am. Once it was obvious I was uncomfortable they just gave me my ring and didn’t even ask if the size fit or anything. Very unprofessional and rude service. I will never go...
