12/9/22 update was 5 stars before- The drive thru was fairly quick, under 10 minutes but when we got to the window they did not have the drinks ready. They asked us to pull around to the front and put our hazard lights in and some one would bring them out. The way the lot is setup you have to go back through part of the drive through line to get back to the front of the store so that was about a 5 minute wait. There were so many cars with hazard lights on there was no parking available at first but I managed to get a spot eventually. Very nice girl asked the name on my order and said she would check on it. I watched her bring out a number of orders but after 10 minutes I flagged her down again. She again asked my name and what I was waiting on and said she would check. By this point the drive through line had cleared out, only one other car waiting and I watched at least a dozen orders get filled. I talked to the same girl bring orders out a third time and she said she would go in and make the drinks herself. After another 5 minute wait she came out with the drinks. She did apologize for the wait and upsized the medium drinks to a large. We had completely finished our food by this point but when I pay for "fast food" I'm darn sure going to get all of it. The time stamp on our food order receipt was 6:18, I got the drinks at 6:47 after asking 3 times. I dont fault the girl bring orders out, i think the drive through manager sent every other car around to wait for almost the full 30 minutes i was there. I don't understand what they gain by having people pull around for fountain drinks other than maybe a few seconds and fakes out thier drive through tack time to make it falsely look acceptable. As you can tell from this review I'm unhappy with the service here but my kids love the food so I will probably come back again. If they ask you to pull around and wait you might be better off just leaving or heading to a gas station for drinks. Definitely not worth the hassle if they are busy.
2020 review was 5 stars - Same as most of them. This one in Holland was very busy but it was still less than a 2 minute wait to order and our food came out before we found a table to sit down at. Food was very hot and fresh. Had several employees stop and ask if we needed anything. I was there with just me and my two kids and they grabbed napkins and ketchup for us. Drink refills were free which was nice as well. Busy and a little crowed on a Friday night but over all good service, hot food and very well...
Read moreNow, to be fair, I did visit around 3:30, so it wasn't really a busy time... but still, everything was fantastic!
Service was way faster than expected. I kept track because I'm a nerd: 23 seconds from the waiting line to the register 1min 36 sec to place my order 1min 55 sec to receive my order. (It's also worth mentioning that my shake was brought to me about 3 seconds after finding a table... LITERALLY!)
All of the staff was very friendly. The cashier was very friendly and helped a Chick Fil-a noobie like me navigate the menu without rushing me, the Shift Leader bringing orders to the Dining Room was very friendly (and even offered to grab a straw - which I forgot - for me; an offer I gratefully accepted), the employee sweeping the lobby... everyone. And they all regularly said "My Pleasure" when talking with customers. I assumed this is a Chick Fil-A training thing, but still, I heard 3-4 different employees say it without fail to multiple customers. Great! Also, the gentleman sweeping the Dining Area (do I remember "Kyle" as his name?) was excellent with asking seated customers how their meal was and if he could do anything for them. He took care of a group's tray and refilled another customer's drink.
The food was excellent. Everything was comfortably hot; you could tell it was fresh, but it wasn't "I just burned the be-jesus out of my tongue because this just came out of the fryer" hot, perfect in my opinion. My sandwich was flavorful, the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and colorful, and the bun was firm enough to keep the sandwich together, but soft enough to enjoy eating. Even the Nuggets (which I know from Food Service experience is a PAIN to keep hot-and-fresh) were hot and juicy.
Cleanliness looked to be maintained and even my quick glance into the bathroom saw that floors and sinks were cleaned, toilets were spotless as well as the mirror.
When I was leaving at 3:50, I noticed a few employees coming into work, presumably for a 4:00 shift. It's a small thing, but employees arriving to work 10 minutes early shows that they care about their job, and their job must have expectations of them!
Long story short, I was very impressed by my visit and will certainly make an embarrassingly-large number of return visits. Great job Chick-fil-A team,...
Read moreChick is about as good as you can do (along with perhaps Freddy's and Mr. Burger) for fast food, and that's saying a lot for such a massive chain. All stores run like clockwork and go to great lengths to move customers through quickly and efficiently. Employees are (usually) pleasant and so well trained they make other restaurants look like an amateur food stand. They have an excellent app and rewards program (we just hit top tier) - among the best around along with Speedway.
That said, the quality of some of the food has seen a marked decline lately. My biggest peeve - the "crispy chicken" is rarely crispy any longer. I assume it is because they have gotten SO incredibly busy, but it's to the point where it's undercooked, soggy and gross a good portion of the time. You know there's a problem when you go to pick up a nugget and the chicken chunk within squirts out of the greasy outer layer of breading from simply picking it up. A shame, because otherwise it is run so well and is among the healthier choices in fast food. It wouldn't be so bad if you could request extra crispy chicken (not to be a pain in the @$$ but when 60% of the time the chicken is near inedible...), but they act as though you're crazy even when you explain why you're ordering that way and tell you it's not possible. If McDonald's can honor an order for extra crispy fries, a head and shoulders better run restaurant like Chick should be able to ensure the chicken is simply as crispy as its supposed to be upon request.
Not enough to deter me from visiting, but frequency of our visits has started to the a hit, especially during busy hours and they've missed out on what would otherwise be a rock solid 5-star review, not that the opinion of one patron...
