Husband and i came here after a long morning/afternoon of hiking at Pinnacle National Park… menu is very limited one bottle of coke is $5 each meals runs you $18- $25 my husband liked his food… i cant review my food though the waitress never brought my food out… i ordered birria fries cause like i said menu is very limited and im allergic to seafood and the majority of their menu was focused on sushi… sounded good but again im allergic to seafood… after lady brought my husband his food out she didn’t say anything about my meal so i assumed she was bringing one dish at a time… nope didn’t hear back from her for 15-20 minutes when my husband waived her down to ask her what the status of my meal was because he was literally almost done with his food, she said ill go check to see whats going on… i turned around before she could walk away and asked her to just cancel the meal as hes almost done eating and there was no point she all of a sudden had an answer for us and said im sorry i had to have them remake it because they added pico de gallo to it… so why didn’t she just say that from the beginning when she gave my husband his food? Communication is key… i wasnt even annoyed maybe because i wasn’t actually hungry and was just excited to try something different but had i been a hungry customer that would have gone in a different direction so i didn’t fuss i just said no thank you. We paid and left. I want to add the place was empty. One other occupied table that was there before we arrived, i dont recall anyone else coming in and if they did it was...
Read moreStopped to have lunch on way to Casa de Fruta, glad we did. My friend and I both ordered the shrimp taco, three come in the order, rice and beans are not included with the entrée. The tacos are substantial, filled with shrimp, lettuce and other garnished. I would say that the tacos can be shared if you don't want to waste or over indulge. Loved everything about the tacos, the tortillas are grilled and cheese melted on tortilla before it's layered with shrimp, cabbage, and peppers. The sauces are excellent, very tasty and packed with flavor.
The service was wonderful, order came out quickly and waitress was attentive without being overly solicitors. We sat out on the patio because it was a nice day, but nothing to view but the street. I would recommend indoor seating, nice decor and no traffic noise.
The only downside as I mentioned before is that rice and beans are extra. Usually I don't mind paying extra, but for those two sides was approximately $18 which I felt was a bit steep.
There were several dishes I was considering that I might try in the future....
Read moreFood was actually pretty good, as were the drinks (Micheladas were bomb). It was odd seeing sushi served at a Mexican restaurant, but it was really good, as were the birria fries and birria tacos with consomé. And our server was awesome. I went with a group of friends and we really enjoyed it. We would definitely go back So why 3 stars? Well, the bathroom was worse than a cheap gas station's restroom... Both of them were. The chairs weren't very comfortable, at least not at our table; and. When told about the restroom, the worker inside ignored me. It took for of us to complain for someone to finally clean the restrooms. Restrooms are very important to have clean and maintained, especially at a restaurant... So that's why it drops to 3 stars...
