Let me start by saying the first time I went the food was good but that was about 4 years ago, I guess as years go by restaurants start to lose there touch and start getting sloppy causing there good usual customers to be disappointed and saying I'm not going back. On March 3,2023 I went to have lunch with a friend the place open at 11am which the food should be fresh and ready to go. I order Alcapurria and Shrimp stuffed Tostones, I decided at first to sit and when I notice the table falling apart and dirty and sticky I had to hold the table with my foot. I decide to say I'll take my order to go, While waiting this couple comes in orders and sits, I'm still waiting for my order for about 20 mins they bring out the same order to the couple. Giving them the order first, like if I wasn't there. Then when I ask if my order was ready the lady stated oh it's coming. When I look over to the couple the meal looked pretty decent again I ask the girl is it done, I did get here first, and yet the other couple received their meal first. She looked at me with this rude look and said it's almost done, I believe her name was (Ledif M) at least that is what the receipt stated. I felt because I did not give her a tip when I made the payment her entire attitude change, Some people are barley surviving, do to the economy not everyone has extra money to give tips and she did nothing to earn it. Well she gave me the order not even a Thank You very rude and please forgive me for what I'm about to say, I am a real Puerto Rican born and raised in Puerto Rico and we do not treat our people, friends, family or customers like that, this place is not very friendly. Sorry for getting off track I then walk to my car and my meal did not look like the same meal the couple had and it was the same order my Alcapurria was fried with old oil or refried. I know the difference, and the shrimp Tostones came in a cup that looked like old shrimp soup and four hard and dry tostones the meal did not have any taste, it wasn't fresh. As for the restroom it smelled like a dirty mop and the lock that holds the door in place did not want to lock and as I tried to close the door, I almost pinch my finger. As for there prices very pricey, you would think that the place was a fancy restaurant to expensive. Such a disappointment. I went to throw up when I got home (TMI) lol Never again, you lost a customer and Please send your staff to training so they can learn how to treat customers. Definitely not a real Puerto Rican spot anymore. Not even the name fits the place, Good Luck with this...
Read moreThis restaurant is horrible not only do the employees hardly speak English but they fail to inform people of when they are closed and still allow orders to go through to take your money on door dash therefore your money is being taken out when you receive no food. Then when you call them to speak to someone in regard to a refund, they hang up on you for 30 minutes straight then say no speak e English.
The employee at your restaurant said it is the owner's job to turn off the system for order not to come through. And your customer service is absolutely horrible that a person needs to call for 30 minutes after being hung up on every time in order to speak with someone. Train your employees properly and hire people who speak English to better assist your English customers. The fact that I had to call to get a refund when you probably would have kept my money if I did not is despicable. And I called toasttab and door dash and they both said you needed to refund me as well as calling my bank and they said the same. So learn how to utilize online delivery services so this does not...
Read moreWe called this restaurant at 7:20 to see if we would be ok to get service before they closed at 8. The lady on phone said “sure, as long as you order before 8 and it usually takes us about 30 min to close up so you should be fine till 8:30”. We told her great we will be there by 7:45. We arrived at 7:40, got to the window to order and were told there was no more rice of any kind. We asked why they wouldn’t make some and she said (woman with red hair) “we don’t make rice 10 minutes before we close”. Would have been nice to know that when we called, but ok we stayed anyway. We ordered a Churrasco rare, I asked twice that they would make it rare and both times she said yes. When it came out it was well done. We asked her to please take it back as is it was not rare. She seemed very irritated and took it with no apology. She brought back another that was tasty and cooked to perfection, however the tostones that were ordered as the side were now missing. My friend went to let her know that and she rolled her eyes at her and walked to the kitchen. When she brought out the new side of tostones, she handed them across the table and refused to look at anyone or acknowledge us saying thank you to her. UNBELIEVABLY RUDE, considering it was the restaurants second mistake and not ours. I’ve been in this industry for 25 years and would never dream of allowing this in my restaurant. It’s a shame because the food was good, authentic, and just like home in PR. But due to the service we will...
