First time to visit. They were quick to greet us, seat us and very nice when we said this was our first visit. We both ordered a combo dinner which includes a choice of a soup, an egg/spring roll, a choice of rice, tea and of course our entrée. With a first visit anywhere, we always go with a standard for a type of comparison so I had the pork lo-mein and my husband had the sesame chicken. The food was good(our egg drop soup needed a bit of salt and pepper), the eggrolls were crispy and hot and the hot mustard we asked for had a definite ZIG to it. Our entrees were both tasty. I ordered the pork fried rice as my rice choice and have to say if anything in the meal lacked, it was that... the rice, while looking yummy, had little flavor until you added soy sauce. The ONLY drawback to our visit, and we WILL go back was that the restaurant from the minute you opened the front door to when we walked out, smelled of mildew(the only reason we didn't give it a 4 star rating, honestly... and maybe this was an issue because of the weather we've been having with LOTS of rain...)...although everything...floors, walls, windows and tables were very clean and neat. After you sat a bit it wasn't really bothersome but it never went away. We're willing to think our weather hasn't been kind to anyone so will go back and see another time if that lingers. Otherwise, we enjoyed it, will go back and will recommend it when we see if the smell dissipates.

Finally we have found a Chinese restaurant that is close to home, has good food that isn’t fancy or elaborate and also has good service. Located next to a Pizza Hut store, the place is about the size of two stores. A bit dated in its decor, it is clean. Very clean. I mean, I looked up and noticed the air vents where clean! We ordered a small wonton soup, egg rolls, special fried rice and honey garlic chicken. Our regular go-to’s when going to a Chinese restaurant. Everything came out in a timely manner. The wonton soup was very good, the egg rolls, not as big as say Pei Wei rolls, where freshly fried and much tastier than Pei Wei. The special fried rice was as to be expected, it had ham, chicken, veggies, etc. And the honey garlic chicken was plentiful. The honey garlic chicken came on the side so as not to get the fried chicken all mushy. At the end, when the waitress was packing the left overs, she actually used a small container for the honey garlic sauce instead of pouring it all over the left over chicken! We will definitely be going back and ordering for either pick up or home delivery.

This is the first time I have ordered food from China Lane, and I was so pleasantly impressed with their food that I had to write a review. I ordered the Hunan Chicken lunch combination with Hot and Sour Soup and Chicken Fried Rice (replacing the Pork Fried Rice). I also ordered the Steamed Dumplings and an Egg Roll. EVERYTHING was so delicious!! And the servings were very generous. I started with the yummy Hot and Sour Soup and the crispy and tasty Egg Roll. The Steamed Dumplings and the dipping sauce were so scrumptious that I ate them all and then didn't have enough room for the rest of the food. The Hunan Chicken was deliciously savory and perfectly spicy, and the Chicken Fried Rice was so flavorful with all the right ingredients, and had so much chicken, I had to save most of the serving of both of these for dinner. Even placing the online order and the delivery, went without a hitch. Needless to say, this is the best Chinese food I have had in Hollywood, Florida.

These people should be working with cars, not food and people. Worst experience ever. Bus boy asked what we wanted to drink. 3 water, 2 coronas. Beer never came. Still waiting for waitress. Asked the hostess for 2 Coronas, never came. Still waiting for waitress. 10 full minutes before the waitress took our order. Got a beer 5 MINUTES later, no glass, no lime. Flagged the bus boy for tea. 3.we got a bowl of fried wanton strips. Someone brought soups, no mustard or noodles, or silverware for 3rd person at table. Finished soup, wanted more tea. Waited, waited, stacked up our soup bowls, empty wanton bowl and open tea pot at edge of table. Waited, waited, waited. Got more tea. More fried wanton strips. More tea. 30 minutes since we placed our order. I see our waitress and another server at the computer, 10 MINUTES their hovering over the computer. 40 minutes since we placed our order. I flag the hostess, ask if there is a problem. She tells me they just started cooking it. I ask the guy at the front desk if we can get the egg rolls or something on the table it's been 40 min. He brings us another bowl of wanton strips. I ask the hostess for the egg rolls. 45 minutes after we placed our order I see the table that came a half hour after us get egg rolls. We don't have ours. Then 3 different people bring us egg rolls. Not one of them thought to bring duck sauce or mustard. 50 minutes after we placed our order, my meal comes out but not the other 2. AT THIS POINT I AM ABOUT TO CRY I waited, waited then started to eat while my food was still warm. I flagged the hostess, she said their food is cooking. I had to go outside before I totally lost it. When I came back, they still didn't have their food. Mine was cold. 65 minutes after placing our order their meals came. The food was good. While waiting outside the bathroom to wash my hands, I see the hostess. I'm sure that I was visibly angry, mostly because NO ONE HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THERES A PROBLEM. I tell the hostess, again, you owe us a huge apology. Probably some dessert and another beer would make us feel better. Then an older lady, maybe owner, asked what's wrong. I start to tell her but she interrupted me and laughed telling me she'll give me 10% discount. I try to tell her that's not gonna make anyone happy but she starts laughing again, only now she's rubbing my back, which I had to ask her 2x to stop touching me. On my way back to the table I see our waitress. I ask please bring the check and please don't make us wait. 5 minutes back at the table, waiting. I ask my 88 year old mother and 76 year old husband to please wait for me in the car. It takes them 5 minutes to get up and out. STILL NO CHECK I stand in front of the hostess, the cashier and 2 others for 3 minutes. Still no check.. Finally the waitress brings the check. I tell the 3 or 4 people up front this was the worst experience EVER. The young guy has the nerve to tell me "It's Christmas we busy". I guess they didn't see it coming or the fact that it's my Christmas too. I tell him they could have fixed this a hundred times just by addressing the problem and communicating. Tell him I've been coming for 50 years but I won't be back. His answer," We don't want you to come back" I'm advising others not to bother...

If google would give me the option for 0 Stars I would not even give them 1 star. I am from New York and I know my Chinese food, and this place since the 1980's had and I use the word had authentic New York style Chinese food. The original owner sold the restaurant to another woman owner about 15 years ago who was keeping everything the same even with the cook. Something happen in last few years that owner must have sold it to the current owner. I have not been here since covid and I decided to stop by and order the Chicken Chow Mein combo The server never smiled once and she looked like she really did not want to be there she was super cold. I ordered combo platter with Wonton Soup which was tasteless and Chinese style eggs used to be thick and fat with lots of cabbage maybe some shrimp not anymore, Their eggs rolls turned into a skinny spring roll which was soft, mushy and had no taste. Server had to explain to me what Chicken Chow Mein was because she's used to dealing with morons who don't know what American Chinese food is all about. Chow Mein was bland had no consistency and lacked any flavor and it was warm not hot. This place went down and Chinese owners think the public is stupid, there are many people that know what good Chinese food is about. Where are they from Hong Kong? Because they know nothing about how to cook and serve food. Even the duck sauce looked mixed down like they added water or it was a cheap little orange version of it. I had to ask for mustard which should on the table already. The noodles were almost like crumbs broken up into small pieces. Ice cream was no even a full scoop. People are not stupid we see you charging more for less. I am sorry this is not the way you treat customers paying good money for a meal. If you want great Chinese food you won't find it here. This place is for the Panda...
