Food: 0/10 | Staff: 1/10 | Accommodations: 3/10 (place too small, good and bad smells get mixed) I do not recommend this place at all. Been there twice and both times l've had an issue. The first time the entire place smelled like feces (02/11 to be exact), I immediately left. Today (02/14/2024, Valentine’s day, where restaurants SHOULD have all ordered nice and neat on this day) I ordered two "picanha with avocado" and I was very clear to the person who took my order on the phone, I wanted the meat well done and they FAILED. I later saw in the other reviews that it’s common on them having mistakes on their orders. Facts. The meat was completely raw from the inside. I immediately called the restaurant to speak with the manager or to the person in charge, and they were not willing to help at all. I spoke with a Cuban lady, who said she had just started her shift, and did not helped at all and gave 0 solutions. She said that if I hadn't touched or eaten the food, they could give me another plate or see what they could do. (are they going to give this food to someone else? Of course I had tried the food, otherwise how am I going to know if the meat was raw from the inside or not? Doesn't make sense. If I take this food back to the restaurant, it should be thrown away, for obvious reasons, it doesn’t matter if the food is touched or not). The rice was clearly not freshly cooked and the whole experience was horrible. I wasted my money and tip on them. I had to throw away the two meals I payed for since the food was disgusting and the employees on site did not helped. Please see attached pictures for reference.

We visited other Colombian restaurants in FL, but Tienda Vieja definitely gets our vote in terms of a "must visit" if authentic Colombian food is what you're craving. Tienda Vieja is not an upscale restaurant, but what they lack in appearance they sure make up for in portion, flavor, and great prices. Just about every serving is enough for two. The food here is so filling and delicious. 😋 We walked through the front door, which was alongside Hollywood Dr, but everyone we saw while there walked in through the back door entrance. When I'm in the FL area and craving authentic Colombian food, Tienda Vieja is where I'm going. Check them out and let me know what you think.

’m Haitian American, and my boyfriend and I love exploring different Hispanic cuisines. This is my second time eating here, and I love love love it! Out of all the places I’ve tried, this is hands down my favorite Colombian spot. Whenever me and my boyfriend want authentic Colombian food, this is the place we come to. The food is flavorful, fresh, and always hits the spot! My boyfriend ordered the Bistec A La Criolla (Top sirloin streak on creole sauce served with rice and red beans, sweet plantains and salad) and I ordered Pechuga Al Ajillo (grilled chicken breast with garlic sauce, served with rice and red beans, sweet, plantains, and salad)

You know that rare feeling when you sit down at a place and realize—this is going to be good? That’s this place. No pretension, no over-the-top presentation—just straightforward, honest food that hits exactly where it’s supposed to.

The beef ribs soup? Rich, deep, the kind of broth that feels like it’s been simmering for days, extracting every last ounce of flavor from the bones. The chicken? Tender, perfectly seasoned—none of that dry, overcooked nonsense you find at lesser spots. And the steaks? Cooked exactly how you’d want them, with that slight crust on the outside and a juicy center. No fuss, no complicated marinades—just good meat, properly handled.

The ingredients are fresh, the prices are shockingly reasonable, and the service is exactly what you want—attentive without hovering. You get the sense that the people in the kitchen actually care about what they’re putting on the plate, which is rarer than you’d think these days.

This place isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel—it’s just doing the basics better than most. Good food, fair prices, and a sense that you’ve found something honest in a world full of culinary grifts. Places like this are getting harder to find. Don’t take it...

First, when i walked in the restaurant i waited standing there for about 5 minutes before someone even acknowledged that i was there. There was a lady at the bar, that instead of taking in my order just passed me around to other servers. I just went in there for 6 empanadas and 6 pan de bono. Simple as that. OH BOY....i should have walked out when i saw that the empanadas were kept in a freezer by the bar and with excessive ice on them. That should have been my call to get out. At least, keep them out sight. Second, the Pan de bono looked like they were made back when Pablo Escobar was alive. Mas duro que una piedra. Empanadas were even worse....

Took the empanadas home and they were so bad that we took two bites and threw them away in a sealed container, i wouldnt want any raccoons to die eating them.

Lastly, the young man taking my order did not charge me correctly even though i clearly expressed what i wanted several times.

I cannot recommend this "restaurant"..no way... and if Google ever gives the option for Negative stars this place would...
