I recently had the pleasure of dining at the newly reopened Flaningans located at the corner of Sheridan and University, and let me tell you, it was an experience unlike any other. Having risen from the ashes of a devastating fire, this establishment has not only reclaimed its former glory but has also soared to new heights, establishing itself as the go-to destination for exceptional dining in the area.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an atmosphere that effortlessly blends elegance with warmth. The interior design is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail, with stylish décor and comfortable seating arrangements that invite you to settle in and savor every moment.
But it's the menu that truly steals the show. Offering a diverse selection of dishes inspired by both traditional favorites and innovative culinary creations, Flaningans has something to satisfy every palate. Whether you're in the mood for hearty comfort food or craving something more adventurous, you'll find it here. And let me tell you, every bite is a revelation. From the perfectly cooked steaks to the mouthwatering seafood specialties, each dish is crafted with care and precision, bursting with flavor that delights the senses.
Of course, no dining experience would be complete without impeccable service, and Flaningans delivers on all fronts. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always eager to ensure that your every need is met. From recommendations on wine pairings to accommodating dietary restrictions, they go above and beyond to ensure that your meal is nothing short of extraordinary.
In summary, Flaningans Sheridan & University is a shining example of resilience and reinvention. Rising from the ashes, it has emerged stronger and more vibrant than ever before, setting a new standard for excellence in dining. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner for two or planning a special celebration with friends and family, this is the place to be. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreI’ve always been a loyal Flanigan’s customer and usually love coming here, but today’s experience at the Hollywood location (2505B N University Dr) was honestly one of the worst I’ve had.
My husband, sister-in-law, and I went out for a nice dinner, but ended up spending nearly two hours at our table, mostly just waiting. Our server, who introduced herself as Mimi, started off with a great attitude, friendly and welcoming, but throughout the entire visit, she only came by the table about three or four times . While she did apologize toward the end, it felt too late by then.
The main issue was with my husband’s meal, it was completely overcooked. He couldn’t eat it at all. When we sent it back, it took over 20 minutes to come out again, and by that time, he just took it home because we were already there for so long. My sister-in-law and I even had to share our meals with him while waiting.
What really made the situation worse was the manager’s attitude when we brought up the issue. Instead of being understanding, he was dismissive and even a bit rude, implying that my husband was being unreasonable for expecting the steak to be cooked correctly. As someone who worked in customer service for five years, I can say this is not how you treat a guest who couldn’t even eat their food.
The only person who truly handled the situation professionally was the kitchen manager. He came out, offered a proper apology, and made an effort to acknowledge the problem. That was appreciated.
It’s honestly sad to see Flanigan’s decline like this. Over the years, the service has gotten slower, the staffing issues more obvious, and the attitudes less professional. I used to love coming here, but now I’ll think twice, maybe even three times, before returning.
Flanigan’s, I really hope you take this feedback seriously. Your brand is worth protecting, and customers...
Read moreOrdered a burger medium rare with swiss cheese mushroms lettuce tomato and a baked potato. When a sandwich is served and the swiss cheese on the very top of the burger isn't melted. something is wrong. Burger was cold. Justin did the correct thing and sent my burger back. Maybe after what seemed way more than a few minutes, I was informed that a new burger was being prepared. When it arrived same unmelted cheese (new slice) same cold hamburger and when i looked to see how it ws cooked it was what I call raw and still cold. Manager named Kash came to me asked what is the problem looking extremely annoyed and I started to tell her my burger was raw her first comment was you ordered medium rare which is quite different than the inside raw. She saw the unmelted cheese and I knew by her annoyed face I would be wasting my time with further discussion. I said never mind and she walked away. My friend took the burger home and said he would recook it. A defensive atttitude makes her a very offensive person and certainly not a good manager. There was no reason for a debate on the cold rawness of the food served., I almost always attend the restaurant in Weston where the service is always excellent and the food is delicious not like the sub par food received at the Univeristy and Sheridan location. I am very sorry that Mr. Bruce wasn't there to see how obnoxious the managers behavior was. I am a grown woman and certainly know the difference between raw and medium rare. Shame on you Kash is all I can say and bigger shame on Flanigan's for not being aware of her inappropriate behavior which seemed I can imagine is the...
