I don't write reviews after one visit... as of yesterday, I've been there 6 times and my daughter has been there once or twice.... Overall it's ok; it's clean, new(er) equipment, sanitized and roomy. So why 4 stars and just OK...? I gave 4 stars instead of 3 for the sole purpose of the woman manning the front desk. I would like to point out she is always amazing... multitasking and juggling calls, money and clients, a job that is typically overlooked and taken for granted in a busy salon. Shes always smiling, and clearly doing her best to accomodate the multitude of walk-ins. I also heard her dealing with an incredibly rude customer on the phone; she was calm, well spoken and completely professional. Very refreshing! The pedicures and manicures are higher priced than other local places, and the quality of service you get depends on who attends you. Some technicians have been great and worth the extra, some not so much; technically, a few of the younger ones aren't as good and don't appear to be interested in the satisfaction of the client, based solely on their attitude and quality of work, or their response when you ask for something to be fixed. Some have a larger language barrier than others, sometimes this is secondary, but always a consideration. So overall, I'm hoping to find someone that gives a good pedicure and stay with them...otherwise I'll try another salon if the bad experiences start to...
Read moreAmber was my technician. I requested a spa manicure and pedicure and I received absolute top notch service. They are going above and beyond Covid protocol. She is an expert technician. Her skill level was comparable with my favorite salons in Manhattan. I felt relaxed. It was a calm and welcoming environment. Can't wait to go back.
6 months later: I've been going regularly. Throughout the pandemic, they followed all protocol. I consider it part of my mental health self-care. I've had Lisa as my technician and she is just wonderful. I've brought friends and they've been really happy with the services and the technicians. I went yesterday for two hours of care and relaxation. I'm trying to persuade them to add eyebrow services to their repertoire! I'm still wearing a mask, even though I'm fully vaxed, because I don't want to infect anyone, should I pick up the virus. Nail Spa is a large space. Nobody is on top of each other. It was 95 degrees yesterday and it was so comfortable and cool inside. I still...
Read moreI enjoy the service but I must speak on an experience that I had a month ago that was disturbing. The young lady attending to my nails cut me very deeply and did not understand me when I was explaining to her that I was bleeding. She began explaining something about the design on my nails. Finally, when she understood what I said she began speaking in a different language to lady next to her and laughing. In addition, she wanted to continue attending to my cut finger as if it was not bleeding. I asked for some sort of band aid and she got a cotton, dipped it in an anesthetic liquid and dabbed the wound. This was a frustrating experience because she never apologized nor did appropriately address the situation. It did not help that there was a major communication barrier and the situation was exacerbated when she began speaking loudly in a different language to the lady next to her, who kept looking at me. I am not sure if they were talking about me but it was an unsettling and...
