Dos Primos Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Holts Summit

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Tonight my parents ordered food (8 hard tacos) with lettuce and cheese. I was present for the call. I listened to him place the order, read the order back, and confirm that he wanted and would be getting chips and salsa with his order. His order was picked up for him and when he looked, the tacos did not have his toppings and he didn't have chips and salsa. Okay, no problem. He called them to let them know (I was also present for this call) and not only did the employee get hateful and ask if he wanted to place another order or not, but my dad got hung up on TWICE. So I called and also got hung up on TWICE when I tried to explain what happened. When my dad tried to call back they wouldn't pick up. I do not care for this establishment because every time I have gone here the employees are incredibly rude. I was once told to seat myself and when I did they told me to move because I couldn't sit at the table I chose. Well, I'm not an employee. How should I know? While I do not eat here, my parents did. Often. And now probably won't go back. Whoever runs this restaurant needs to check in with their employees because their customer service is awful. If someone calls to tell you their order is wrong there are better ways to handle it other than hanging up. Yes, I asked for a manager. The lady hung up...

There were 2 of us and we went in about 1pm on a Wednesday. They weren’t busy maybe 5-6 other tables. We sat down and right away someone brought us chips and salsa with one set of silverware. We sat there for about 15 or 20 minutes before we were even acknowledge by a server. Once he came over and took our order-he did so with greeting us or anything-it was what would you like and that was all.We had our food and drinks within 5-10 minutes which made the fact that he took so long to take it order in the first place even more frustrating. He stopped by the table once after that and picked up a plate without saying a word, other than that he didn’t check on us at all. When we were finished I needed a box and it server was no where in sight so I walked over to the server station and got it myself. There was another employee sitting there and all he did was point out to me that there were some to go boxes closer to me than where I got mine from. He then followed me to the table to show me. I said “I’m not used to having to get my own” our server still had not appeared. Went here on a "date night" with my husband one afternoon. The place was pretty empty because of a big football game going on.We were told to sit wherever we wanted and were quickly asked for our drinks orders. Within a few minutes the drinks were out and the nice lady was out to take our order. I had chicken street tacos and my husband had the fajitas dos primos with the intention of us sharing.

The food here was AMAZING. The street tacos were perfect and the chicken was amazingly delicious. I had only wished there was more. My husband loved the fajitas and finished off most of the shrimp (he knows i prefer chicken or beef) and i helped him with some of the chicken and beef and there were still leftovers.

I would tell anyone looking for a good, filling, affordable meal with a nice dine in experience (of course YMMV on what day and time you go) to try out Dos Primos.
