I’m down for the whole efficiency thing and all so figured I’d do the mobile app order and avoid a repeat of the previous 30 minute drive through time. Hit the mobile order lane 15 minutes after I placed the order. Sat there for 15 minutes with no response while they took another 6-7 orders. Finally proceeded to the window which took another 25 minutes. Watched at least 3 different employees come to the window and carry on extensive conversations with the cars in front of me. Two of which for several minutes even after they received their food. Finally got to the window and let the lady at the drive through know I had placed a mobile order 45 minutes prior. She turned around to another employee and asked if she was wearing her headset and heard the beep that someone was in the mobile lane. At that point the second employee puts on her headset and said “I never heard anything beep”. This was also the same lady that was carrying on all the conversation out the window while not wearing a headset at all. The first employee then looks at me and lips “sorry” and says the other lady was too busy chit chatting with all her family in the previous cars to do her job. Her words. Then the chit chat lady comes to the window and asks about my order only to immediately interrupt me in a mumbling voice wanting to know about my tattoos. At this point I’m coming up on an hour after placing an order and sitting in the drive through for 45 minutes. I dont want to talk about tattoos lady. I know it’s a new location and people are learning. But that is not what this was. Until management gets this sorted out, we won’t be back. Feel sorry for the few employees that seem to be trying hard but are completely hindered by the ones that could care less.
Tried again 5/7/24 Went in and used the self serve screen to place order. I selected to pay cash for the $30 order. We notice one dude heading out the door for a break. No big deal. Three other people there. Stood there patiently for 15+ minutes watching other orders go out the drive through. All three people look our way now and then but nobody says a word. So we just think our order is coming and just be patient. Nope. Dude comes back from his break now and is the first one to say anything to us at all while we still stand there. Asks us our name and realized our order isn’t even in the que. The white dude tells him that I am waiting to pay. So wait a sec, you sat there and watched us stand there for 15 minutes knowing full well we needed to pay and that you wouldn’t start the order until we did, but you nor the other two girls back there could be bothered to do anything about it and needed to wait for this other guy to go take a full break first?? Mind blown here. Wasn’t the dude on breaks fault. And when he did finally come in he at least addressed us and sorted out the situation in a moment or two. And he also apologized multiple times. I told him to just forget it at that point if they hadn’t even started our food after all that time and that I understood it wasn’t his fault but that was ridiculous those other three couldn’t be bothered to help us. Read moreI placed my mobile order online and got it pretty quickly. I decided to place another order but I wanted to ask the shift manager on duty if I could make a modification to my burrito (app wouldn't allow it). He looked at me, sighed, and said "Yeah I guess we can do that" and walked away rudely. They didn't even end up making the modification that I requested but I didn't want to argue with the ignorant jerk so I said screw it. My thing is that if you don't enjoy your job, don't do it! I worked at Taco Bell for almost four years and I never treated people that way. Our management would've fired us on the spot for pulling something like that. The shift manager guy had shorter curly hair and was working the night shift on 8/6 around 7PM.
There were also 3 different people that complained about missing items in their order within a good 30 minute time frame. I'm not sure if the Taco Bells around Jeff City are run by the same company (franchise) but they are absolutely awful with customer service. I don't know how they pass audits (used to be a thing once upon a time) where corporate Taco Bell would inspect the stores thoroughly. They must not do that anymore. Staff told me it was being made. 3min later another employee took money for the order. By the time 30 minutes had gone by I was late on my lunch break. I asked for a refund.
