Well, I have to say, I am extremely disappointed. I have heard people touting this place and I am now wondering why. First off, we sat down and the waitress got our drinks. My friend had ordered root beer and instead of root beer got Pepsi. We had to eventually flag another waitress down because our waitress went missing. By the time we got our waitress there to correct the drink order, our paper glasses were soggy. So then almost an hour later our food arrives and it is nothing like what was explained on the menu. We ordered the chicken parmesan which was described as "breaded chicken breast on a bed of marinara pasta topped with a mozzarella blend. Served with breadsticks." To our surprise, the waitress eventually brings these very large bowls of what is described on the pesto chicken alfredo on the menu as cavatappi pasta, (macaroni) ours was not supposed to be that. At first we thought they had brought us the wrong order but since we didn't have pesto sauce which is green, we assumed that this was the correct order. Our chicken was four tiny little chunks of hard crusty dry pieces of chicken off to the corner of our bowl. Mine had very little mozzarella on it and all of the sauce which could only be described as tomato paste at the bottom of the bowl was topped with Texas toast. My thoughts were, okay I like Texas toast better than breadsticks so this might just save this meal. As you will see in the picture, pretty much all of my Texas toast is still there and that's what it looked like when we left the table. This was the blandest Texas toast I ever tasted. It tasted like oil. It did not have any butter on it whatsoever. Speed up to the end of our meal which was not very long, the waitress apologized profusely and even went to speak to the manager. The manager would not even come out and talk to us. I'm assuming that it was the lady that kept wandering in and out of the kitchen area. I thought that part of the manager job was to come and speak to the customers if they were dissatisfied but this one evidently was afraid to come talk to us and left this task to the waitress. The waitress explained to us that they just got a new chef and they were throwing away all of their currents menu items. All I could think was if this is a new chef, you would think he at least would know how to cook chicken but it tasted pretty bad. This meal was well over priced for what we got. My friend got a chicken sandwich and the chicken was well over cooked and gristly. Her chips were homemade but there was no flavor to them. I feel like we well overpaid for this meal. As you will see in the photos, we donated money and food to the rats in the dumpster. I wish now that we had gotten the special which was 50 cents per wing. The people around us were eating them so maybe those were good. The waitress although nice, did not even mention to us once that that was on special....
Read moreLooking for something new we thought we’d try Front Row for carry-out burgers on Sat. With the expectation that it was likely we’d be disappointed. We are very picky eaters and have been looking for a GOOD burger in or around Homer Glen. We both had the build your own burger along with Parmesan Garlic fries and hot wings. We were told 20 minutes max and the order was ready when my wife arrived. Very pleasant male took and brought out our burgers. BOTH BURGERS WERE ORDERED AS “medium” as we had little faith that we get anything other than a well done burger. We were happily surprised to find that they were a good sized 1/2 Lb. cheddar, grilled onions and mushroom burgers with Chipotle mayo The garlic butter Parmesan fries were excellent too but I would ask for a little extra garlic butter on them. The hot wings were a complete disappointment. They appeared to be reconstituted from yesterday, were overcooked and very tough. If that’s an indication of “normal” then I would pass until more attention is given to this popular offering. I will stop by and discuss our experience with the owner soon cause you don’t know what you don’t know and Front Row is deserving of a little effort on my part to keep it open and improve the wings as well as to provide some VERY POSITIVE FEEDBACK on the burgers!
They were simply OUTSTANDING! Best burger we’ve had in a long time! For comparison purposes we used to be regulars at the Country House (until their burgers went to hell (smaller, different type/blend of ground meat). Not the same as it was when it opened. Anyway, we stopped going there several years ago. Our other safe place was Claim Jumpers in Oakbrook. Another very reliable burger place.
In short I wanted to go back the next day but decided on a planned attack instead where one of us would order a burger and the other one of the very tempting sandwiches they offer every time we go as a method of broadening our ordering options in the future.
In short, if you have a taste for a burger, stop reading and just go! I will add more info as we test more...
Read moreThis bar is excellent. Don't listen to anyone who says differently.
First of all, the staff here are exceptional. I went here today and the place was crowded, but despite being super-busy, the quality of the service never diminished. Austin is an extremely competent manager.
Bella was my server twice, she's an amazing bartender and personality. Nicole, and the other staff are also super good at what they do. (Everyone deserves to be mentioned and given credit, but I'm a little bad at keeping up with new names.)
I started attending more regularly, and the food is also good. The Cowboy Burger was cooked very well, without a single mistake. Their pasta has a magnificent flavor, and I would also like to add that their prime rib-steak sandwiches also require an announcement.
If you live in the Homer Glen area or are an outsider visiting the area, you have to experience Front Row at least once. Take my word for it, it is worth the hype. Its reputation precedes it because it lives up...
