I had an interview here 6/28/22 for the server position and was treated extremely rudely . I went there 2 days in a row to take it, I was sent home in less then 2 minutes with the excuse that they where busy (mind you each time I went there where only 3-4 ppl in the bar, mostly just chatting amongst themselves, and 1-2 tables accopied they where always already eating, I doubts they where that busy) and had to reschedule it. I wasn’t being rude, I dressed professionally, and got there on time so I’m not sure why they didn’t like me. They never came out and told me themselves. I always had to ask for more details because they where rushed with how they told as if they just wanted me out of there (simple details like at what time I come in or who do I ask for, or will I still be accepted in even if my interview time and date look different on my interview affirmation pass). I already found the situation extremely unprofessional as is but I tried being understanding even if I was spending money on an Uber I frankly be spending money on as I was (and still is) unemployed. Which I want to note that the host was never at the front and I always had to wait for a server that was passing by at the moment to go get them. On the last day the my told me that there never was an open position to begin with and that they are actually over staffed, they again just sent another staff to let me know never themselves. They sent me off with a “I apologize for the inconvenience” that was it. I asked why I was basically led on they said they didn’t know, i asked why none of the managers have come to at-least tell me themselves they said they where busy. I asked for Scott ,which the one I was supposed to ask for that day, and they said he wasn’t even there. I was extremely upset but I just pushed a side as bad management I didn’t want to think about the possibility that it was because of me myself. I am a 16 year old Hispanic girl who is more on the heavier side. Although each time I was there I only saw tall, skinny, male servers I didn’t want to think this was a discrimination case. That was until I saw the same listing for server at the same chili’s posted in 7/8/22…. ONE week and a half after I went. How come they have positions now? Weren’t they over staffed? Either way I’m very unhappy and my mother will be making an official complaint to corporate for this. Thank you for wasting my time...
Read moreI’ve arguably been a Chilli’s addict for the past five years and still think that their food is delicious. But my last three attempts to patronize this location were in vain...it disgusted me from the brand as a whole.
The last straw for me was when they sat us at a table and we were just stranded for over 20 minutes, making desperate eye contacts with the waiting staff that never came to take our orders even after we got up and left. They kept seating new customers but not taking care of us. We ended up at Olive Garden across the street and were reminded what good service was there.
Prior to that, we’ve had just parked and saw the place was being a little packed so we decided to give them a call to evaluate the wait. the woman told us « one hour ». But it didn’t seem like there were that many people so we decided to get in to ask directly. She said 15mn wait...
I wish this would’ve been an isolated incident. The other times we gave it a shot ? We came late in the evening once, the server had an attitude, made us feel uncomfortable throughout the whole experience, messed up our order a couple times and was annoyed at us for it...at the end when we felt like ordering a dessert (40mn prior to closing) we were hit with a : “we have desserts, yes, but I really wish you could take them to go”... but as we didn’t feel like driving home with an ice cream, we decided to eat there and that really didn’t sit well with her and her attitude problem.
Another time...we’ve place an order to go over the phone and were told that it would be ready in 15mn. Once we arrived at the suggested time, they told us that there was another 45mn wait. We ended up at Longhorn SteakHouse were the service was fast and agreable...
Now today, I call at 9:58pm to place a to go order (I know, what an idiot...!) and I am told that they are already closed. I got annoyed but understood as it is New Year’s Eve. But something told me to call back as the opening hours were set to be until 11:30pm today on Google. I called at 10:57 and asked how late did they close, they said 11:30pm and someone corrected the lady in the back saying « NO! ELEVEN ! ». She then answered with a brief : « sorry Sir, we’re already closed ! ».
The bottom line is, Chilli’s used to be great but now it looks like the management lost control and this place is no longer reliable.
Goodbye Chilli’s, Hello Longhorn...
Read moreI don’t know his last name but if you have Michael as your server, good luck. As for the manager, he seems helpful but not as much as he could be. This was just our dine in experience today, wish I could comment on all our experiences. Some have been good, and others horrible. This Chili’s just needs an update on personnel.
When we first sat down, the table was dirty with mustard stains. Then the woman who was supposed to be our server never came so the one helping her took our order but when the food came, it was wrong. He takes the texas cheese fries away and was supposed to bring a new one, come to find out all they did was remove the jalapeños and bring the same plate back. Spoke to the manager and the manager got another plate but it came with jalapeños again.... so I remind him it wasn’t supposed to have it, he apologizes and get another plate but then this plate barely had cheese, no scallions and the fries looked toasted. I didn’t want to wait any longer because my husband and I were hungry so we just dealt with it. We waited another 40mins for our dinner to arrive only to have it come out cold. The fries were cold, the mashed potatoes already had a hard layer on top because of being out for so long and the ranch had an oily gloss from sitting there. The honey chipotle chicken was decent because they poured the hot honey chipotle sauce on it. While eating the waiter passes by and asks if we want refills we say yes and it seems like he forgot because 10mins later I had to stand up and to try and get someone to give us drinks because our server wasn’t passing by and the manager sees me and asks what I need, I asked for the drinks and I also asked for a different server, he said he would just be our server, to tell him what we needed. I said ok that would be great. So I tell him about the drinks and about a dessert we wanted. A few minutes later the old server comes back and says “oh you wanted the cheesecake right?” I said yes but was confused as to why he was asking me if he wasn’t our server anymore. At the end of the night I was just quite disappointed at how some of this was handled not to mention the fact that the manager didn’t even offer a discount or some thing free to even make us happy. This is the only Chili’s in homestead but I’m not going to be able to eat there as much if the service...
