"My experience at Sam's County Kitchen was nothing short of fantastic. After church, my brother, wife, and I visited this gem of a restaurant and we were all blown away by the delicious food and impeccable service. I ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich with bacon, eggs cooked over easy, and American cheese. Every bite was heavenly, and I couldn't get enough of it. My wife went for the patty melt, but customized it with Texas toast instead of wheat bread. She loved every bite and even said it was the best patty melt she's ever had. But what really made our experience exceptional was our waitress, Gina. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her cheerful personality made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our meal. My brother ordered the lake and sky country breakfast, which was a delicious combination of catfish, eggs, and sausages. We all enjoyed our meals and appreciated the generous portions. Overall, I highly recommend Sam's County Kitchen to anyone looking for an incredible dining experience. The food is top-notch, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. And, of course, a special shoutout to Gina for making our visit truly memorable. We will definitely be back!"

Here it was, our first stop on our trip to the National Parks of Florida. With our AirBnB in Homestead, we explored some local restaurants. Sam's Country Kitchen was easily the number one choice for breakfast. We stopped by one morning, got seated promptly, and looked at their delicious menu to see what looked good. We got some plates that gave us a little bit of everything. And everything was solid. Well-cooked, crisp potatoes. Crispy bacon. Simple eggs with classic yellow slices of cheese on top. Waffle House style has browns. Some nice, medium fried eggs. Their biscuits 'n' gravy was the best, though. Two big, fluffy biscuits, and a very large helping of a peppered sausage gravy. Man, tastes like home. Finished off the meal with a homemade-style French toast that was drizzled in Nutella and dusted with powdered sugar. I wouldn't trade this French toast for the fanciest French toast in all the lands. Just perfect. Overall, my self-made decision making tree lead me to believe that this place was the best breakfast restaurant in all of Homestead. After eating here, I was inclined to believe it. I was very happy with my meal, and you will be, too.

The menu is diverse and promising but the food doesn't live up to the expectations...at all. The front of the place is labelled "Restaurant" and there's no doubt that this is a neighborhood institution and mainstay. I loved how descriptive the menu was and we ordered the shrimp and grits, Greek omelette, and the horseshoe burger on the "must try" written menu. We also ordered the cornbread because the sign in front of the restaurant lauded it as a homemade specialty. We waited over 40 minutes for the most lackluster shrimp and grits I've ever tasted. The shrimp was cooked blackened style with old bay, but the grits were the stuff of sawdust nightmare. It was dense and tasteless that no extra hot sauce, butter, salt, or pepper could revive. The horseshoe burger was a Texas toast topped with a beef patty and smothered with SOS gravy, and the flavor was as lifeless as it looked. While the staff was friendly and the tables were neat and welcoming, the food is not redeemable.

While the menu at Sam's Country Kitchen offers a variety of classic breakfast options, it was their "Sam's Steak and Eggs" that truly shone.

Im Ethnic Lgbtq and my friend is a Caucasian woman..we ordered they had everything she ordered, they Ran out of what I ordered and not even checking or consulting with the cook to see if some of what I desired to eat was there, a guy wasnt sure to charge me for free water, getting mean looks from 2 Caucasian young guys and I felt the brush of jokes about me, I didnt feel like at home or Welcomed..I felt like I was being tolerated...the air conditioning was not working, girl dropping people food, we tipped the waitress money but she did a above poor job, my caucasion friend got more food than I did and we basically ordered the same thing, THE FOOD WAS GOOD I MUST SAY...But the tables are not properly cleaned with new towels and the proper cleaning supplies thus leaving me and my friend sick. I know this RESTRAUNT can be better because it was better and I was glad to see the same cook which again the food was great...the silverware is very out dated and you can see Very visibly how outdated the silverware is...I asked for plastic ware yes They had plastic ware, We are in 2018...that RESTRAUNT needs an update and upgrade of staff and UPDATE ASCA WHOLE. The cook is Amazing because the food was good. On the upside of this...THE COOK HAD OUR FOOD READY FAST AND IT WAS šŸ˜‹ DELICIOUS. ORANGE JUICE WAS HOT WITH NO ICE. I HAD TO DRINK WATER. A GUY WHOM LOOKED TO BE A DISH WASHER CAME TO SAY THAT OUR BILL WAS HIGHIER ALMOST $4 BECAUSE OF THE ORANGE JUICE THAT IT WAS OBVIOUSE THAT I HAD. THAT OFFENDED ME. MY CAUCASIAN FRIEND HAS ETHNIC GRANDKIDS AND ETHNIC MIXED SONS AND SHE WAS ANGRY AS WELL. ITS A GOOD PLACE BUT AN UPDATE AND TRAINING ALL STAFF TO RESPECT ALL NATIONALITIES AND THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY AND ALSO IT WAS HOT AND THE KITCHEN IS OPEN IS UNSANITARY AND I will visit again after all of that is done. BTW HAIR NETS WILL BE GREAT SERVING PEOPLE FOOD...

Ok....Where do I begin. I wasn't feeling well this morning to actually go sit at the restaurant. We were all hungry and I said let me order Sams country kitchen. I heard good things about them from neighbors. I also saw that have great reviews. Went on there website to see if there was a way of ordering, since there was no answer when I called. Btw... all this began around 9:30 am. Had a huge order, tried to place it and didn't go through. A problem with the system. So I tried calling again. No answer. One hour later. Someone answered, said hold on. 25 min on hold so I hung up. Called back again, straight to voicemail like 10 times. Went on Facebook and messaged them. I normally wouldn't go through all of this but we were hungry and REVIEWS WERE GOOD! Yeah right, they responded about 30 min later, for me to call. So now it's around 11:30 I called placed the order, they told me 30 min it will be ready. My son went 35min later. The full order wasn't ready, order was sitting there for about 20 min waiting on last meal to be prepared. When he brought the order home, we were missing the sos, food cold, and not all that. I never right bad reviews but boy oh boy I did this time!!! Never going back, you can keep the sos. Food wasn't great as I expected, horrible for a first...
