La Pasadita — Restaurant in Homestead

So I called this restaurant to make an order and was advised it would be ready in 10 minutes. I knew that this was not a fast food place so it would take longer. Well I arrived and as I suspected my order was not done. As I was waiting for my order I noticed that the cook was actually putting his hand in whatever food he was preparing at that and then just cleaning his hands on his shirt. I mean this is sanitation at its worst. I was just waiting to see if he would touch my food but I was lucky enough to have another cook do my food. You may say how I saw this and the answer is that the cooks station is facing a window and his back is facing the customer's making the orders inside. So you see him but he doesn't see you.

After 45 minutes I finally got my food.

I can say with certainty that this place does not have customer service. The man taking the orders is arrogant, pedantic, and rude. He charges twice for one item, and when asked why, he says it’s our fault. I asked him to cancel the order so they could refund me, and he says he would. After we finished eating, I asked him for a receipt showing that the other meal was being canceled, but he hadn’t even done so… and he replied, “You won’t get that right away,” to which I told him that I know that and that if my refund doesn’t arrive in a week or more, the receipt that I was asking for would be my only proof to show the bank, and after a while he gave it to me. And the food was so bad, tasteless, no salt, and very little meat. It’s 90% rice, 8% vegetables, and 2% meat, and the price is too high for what it is… definitely don’t waste your time...

I came from the Keys to Walmart and had seen the rave reviews from this place on Google. I arrived at the drive through tonight and the guy told me that he was sorry but the last car was the one in front of us. I said please I came from the keys and saw the awesome reviews and really wanted to try it. He let us go ahead as the last client as they were closing in 3 mins and I didn’t realize the time so I was so happy they were so accommodating. I was surprised to find a drive thru so convenient my kind of joint. The tacos and fried cheese OMG soooooooo authentic. Sooooo delicious sooooooo affordable was $17 for 4 tacos and 3 fried cheeses.
