Today 7/26/19 was my first time going to this restaurant. Don't get me wrong the food was good that's why I giving it 4 Stars. BUT the Service my husband I had was not good at all. I give the service a half a star. I hope the Management of this restaurant will be reading this because your servers need to be trained a little bit more better on how to treat and wait on customers at the table.
Management Team......when your Hostess seat your customers to a table your servers have to come to that table in a timely manner and not have them waiting 5 to 10 minutes. When I go to any restaurant I tip very well. I have what you call a tipping a waiter scale. When the service is good it will stay in the high and when it not so good I start deducting from my tip scale. If your Servers can't do better you will not have Customer.
The server we had his name was Eric. When he came to the table he did not introduce himself to us. We had to read the name tag to get his name. He took our drink order and needed more time to decide on what we wanted. After we decided on what we wanted we waited about 7 minutes before Eric came to take our order. When the food arrived to the table we didn't have no utensils to eat with. So we had to look around the restaurant to see where our server was at. It took about 10 minutes before we got the utensils. About like another 10 minutes into our seafood dinner Eric comes back to the table lean up again the pole ask how is everything and also ask us can he give us our check now because he have to leave. He said that he was suppose to leave 30 minutes prior but we was the last customers in his section and he can't leave until we pay so he can get his tips (My tipping scale went for high to low at this point). I have never in my life heard of BS like this. At this time I am looking at him saying OH NO YOU DIDN'T JUST SAY WHAT I THINK YOU SAID. My husband went ahead and paid. I told my husband I would have not paid he could of waited. So when Eric returned to the table he said he was leaving and he would have another server come check on us (NO SERVER NEVER CAME TO CHECK ON US). Then he left the restaurant and about 30 minutes prior to us leaving he comes back into the restaurant. My first time at the Seafood King was UNBELIEVABLE.
TO ALL YOU CUSTOMERS THAT PLAN ON DINING AT THIS RESTAURANT PLEASE TELL THE HOSTESS NOT TO SEAT YOU IN ERIC SECTION. YOU MIGHT GET BETTER SERVICE WITH...
Read moreCalled in to place a pickup order and was put on hold. Waited on hold for 11 minutes then was hung up on. Called back and placed my order..got to the location and was told by the young lady that my food was ready but just needed condiments. I took a seat and waited...the guy with dreads handed me the order. I decided to check it before leaving and discovered that part of my food that I paid for wasn't in the bag. So, I stated this to the guy and he snatched the container out of my hand as I was placing it back in the bag. He seemed very ticked off that I discovered this and said something about it. He walked away with the container and looked at the receipt. He took the container to the back and so now I still have to wait. So, my part of the order that is correct is getting cold because I am now waiting again. I asked the young lady if she was the manager and she said no. I told her that I need to speak with the manager or person in charge. She went to the guy with dreads and said something to him. When he finally comes over he ask me what's the problem? I told him that I would like to speak with the manager. He stated that he is the manager. I asked for the owner or their corporate number. He stated that the owner doesn't want her number given out (which I can understand that). But there should be a way to resolve a situation that is customer service related. He said tell me what's wrong so I can tell her. I told him no thank you because this is my last purchase so it's the last $38 I will ever spend with this establishment. He said okay and walked away... I have been in customer service related jobs for over 30 years and this is...
Read moreOh my goodness, everything there was so delicious. Things were a little pricey but you get what you pay for when it comes to good seafood. I had the Dungeness Crab, Shrimp and a dozen raw oysters from Virginia. Being from Alabama we love the Gulf oysters but only in November - February. Gotta have cold water oysters. My daughter and my grandson also tried oysters. Unfortunately my grandson did not like the texture. It was his first time and probably his last. LOL. I can't say enough about the food and service. The music was a little loud for my case but it was good music. It was music from the '80s which is in my opinion some of the best music made. But that was a long time ago. The bartender Cookie, she was amazing. Not only was she very pleasant to talk with she also let me try some chicken wings. The wings were cooked perfectly. They were deep fried and crispy not soggy and chewy. Nothing disgusts me more than a mushy chicken wing. The Dungeness crab was so sweet and came out of the shell so easily. You could tell whoever was working the kitchen knew exactly how long to drop the seafood for. Oh my goodness so tiny red potatoes were delicious. They soaked up all of that Cajun butter and garlic and it was fantastic. They gave us bibs and gloves but who needs that when you got napkins and a hand to rip those delicious Crab legs apart. When I say it was pricey what I really mean is that expect to pay for good food. You can go to any seafood restaurant and spend $200 with your family but did they all enjoy it. What's the seafood cook correctly? Well you need to trust me when I tell you seafood King is the bomb. Five stars...
