For a fast food joint, I 💙 Whataburger! As a truck driver I don’t get to one much because not many are accessible with our rigs. But when I come home and I don’t have a trailer I usually make it a point to stop at this one and at least grab some breakfast. I’ve never had an issue or felt like you couldn’t get me out of here soon enough UNTIL TODAY! Pulled in in my bobtail @4am and made an online order. Waited a few min and went ahead inside to wait for it like I usually do when I remember to order online. My order was correct and everything except the hashbrowns tasted great. The hashbrowns however tasted like they have been dropped into the grease for a second time or maybe the oil needs to be changed because they were wicked brown, soggy and overly salted. From someone who worked in food/service for many years until getting out of it, I get it. It never and I doubt will ever pay very well, it’s pretty demanding and let’s face it, customers can be a real 🍑 at times. That being said, if you’re that miserable at your place of work, maybe it’s time to find a new job because ya know what’s NOT ok?? What I experienced today. Before I get into this, I just want to say that I didn’t catch this gentleman’s name, but the man who waited on me that was wearing a high vis, was nice, calm and professional. He seemed to be handling things the best anyone could in the moment. He should get some recognition. Wish I caught his name. Unfortunately I did catch the name of the man acting out and causing a scene in front of customers. His name badge I believe was Trey Trey. It doesn’t matter how miserable you are at your job. Slamming things round, mumbling not appropriate things and then getting louder about things like how you should be getting paid more and how you even came in early and how someone else can clock out while you’re in an area where customers are should never be tolerated. Talk about turning an environment to shit while just trying to wait for your food so you can leave already. I think I’m may have to find another Whataburger location because I definitely don’t want to walk into a situation...

She was almost done with my to-go order, and then the store manager, I believe his name is Darnell or something like that, took her off the order and said that he would handle it. He then let my order sit there for another six or seven minutes while he did something else. She was doing the best she could as it was lunch time. The way he spoke to her caught me off guard, and no manager should speak like that to any employee. Especially when they're fixing a customer's order. The store definitely needs to work on their management! I will definitely give him another shot because the food is decent. Hopefully they will learn to deal with volume, and it might just have been an off day.. Edit 6/20/2024- I literally watched three people walk out because they because they didn't understand how to order on the kiosk, and they didn't even get a," hey how are you?" the older gentleman said, "I don't see how they're still in business. you're paying them to work." definitely won't be...
Read moreVery pleased with my first time experience at Whataburger. At first I was unsure. We couldn't get the order to place online and decided to just go through the drive-thru regardless of a larger order. When I arrived they were packed. We waited our turn and started to make our way down a 7 meal list with special instructions per meal. Albert who was taking the order did a phenomenal job in getting everything right and keeping a positive attitude. We got to the window and finally met Seth & Albert both. They vibe these to put off together is great. The Service here is top notch with the crew working tonight. We got all our food and everything was perfect but one meal missing. After driving back out there I was noticed instantly. After telling Seth what had happened he called the order out and it was fresh and up front in 120 seconds. Definitely had my night made after countless laughs and the best service ive ever been shown from a fast food establishment! Safe to say im glad the order didn't go through online the in person experience was well worth the wait in...
