Having seen Fin's Bagel pop up on my IG stories, I made sure to visit this morning, July 4th.
This delightful bagel shop is conveniently located just off Kapahulu Avenue, making it a breeze to find. As you turn onto the side street, you are immediately drawn to a vibrant mural of a person looking through a bagel.
Three dedicated parking stalls sit right in front of the shop, with a pleasant outdoor seating area nestled between the parking and the entrance. This space, accommodating 2-4 people at each of its four tables, is nicely buffered by potted plants.
The interior is quaint and cozy, featuring a counter where you place your order, with the bakery behind it. They offer a selection of 7 bagel types, along with an enticing menu of sandwiches, various flavored cream cheeses, and drink options. Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious. My top picks were the rainbow bagel with banana caramel cream cheese and the asiago bagel with kiawe-smoked brisket. Both were toasted, flavorful, and very satisfying, albeit a bit on the pricier side. The iced cold brew was also a winner, providing the perfect pick-me-up after indulging in such a satisfying meal.
I'll certainly be back to Fin's Bagel and recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic bagel experience. Be aware that weekend mornings might see more traffic, so if you prefer a more unhurried and enjoyable breakfast, weekdays are your best bet. Plus, they open remarkably early at 6:30...
Read moreTo be honest I was a little skeptical at first seeing "New York bagels" in Hawaii. But oh wow was I just absolutely blown away from the moment I walked through the door. The staff had huge smiles on their faces as thethey welcomed us into probably the nicest looking bagel shop I've been in! We ordered the "Fins Bagel" with fresh locally caught mahi mahi! The price is totally worth it! It's a huge bagel cooked to perfection with large portions of fish, vegetables and the in house made cream cheese spread. Even though I was completely stuffed after the bagel sandwich I was still intrigued to try more! So I bought some fresh bagels and cream cheese to take home. If you're looking for THE BEST BAGEL go to Fins, minutes from Waikiki and parking right in...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place, especially since there are so few bagel spots in Honolulu. This was my second visit, hoping for a better experience than the first. The first time, I ordered a breakfast bagel, which was mediocre at best. The staff seemed indifferent, even borderline annoyed at times—not a dealbreaker for me as long as the food delivers.
On my second visit, I decided to just get bagels and considered adding cream cheese until I saw the price—$10 for cream cheese on top of nearly $4 per bagel felt excessive. Unfortunately, the bagels themselves were already going stale, making me doubt they were freshly baked. Overall, a disappointing experience. Won’t...
