Joe's Grill Express — Restaurant in Honolulu

Makes me laugh these people who are called "LOCAL GUIDES". NOTHING local about the ones who say bad things about Joes. I think they getting paid by others to promote these other places. DON'T LISTEN to them. What can I say about a place that continues to make the most incredable breakfast on the island and at the same time show the true meaning of Love, Aloha and Ohana. I only mention breakfast because, the portions are so big that, no need buy lunch already. I started going Joe's about 3 yrs. ago and have not stopped and it's March 2025 now. I can only get there about once or twice a month but, I have proudly earned the title "UNKO". My wife and I ALWAYS get the JoeMoco which comes with egg choice, bacon, fried rice and da best real shredded corned beef (not the can dog food kine) and all covered with brown gravy. Then you can add hasbrowns and any other of the choke side choice's of spam, portugese sausage, steak, longanisa, shrimp and on and on and so forth. The plate weigh's a ton. Before I move away from this area due to work, I needed to write something about MY lunch place... Nothing but praises. They are always jamming during lunch which is a reflection of the quality of the food you're getting. The dining area is quite small but if you call ahead, your take our order is almost always ready. Prices are very reasonable and the menu is full of great choices.

What you really need to pay attention to is Specials Board that they regularly post online. They usually have a few affordable priced items and at least one 5 star item that will give your taste buds a reason to sing I can say, without a doubt, that if you are not in line or called in by 12:00, you're going to miss out on some of the best food the Specials Board has to offer.

The staff is always friendly and will try to accommodate whatever your needs are. Once you become a regular, you are "uncle" they will even know your phone number and greet you by name when you call or come in. This is the family store you want to visit any...

Wandered around this area for close to an hour looking for something good to eat for our very first meal on the island. We had just landed in Honolulu and we're on foot because we opted out of renting a car. We found Joe's online and tried it because of the good reviews. I am so happy we did. We had the special of the day and was some of the best fish I had ever had at a really good price. The staff was super friendly and the cook even sent out some veggies for our little one. We've gone back at least five times in the last ten days, always getting something different and have not once been disappointed.
