This was my first visit to Lahaina Tacos ... It was National Taco Day so tacos were a "must have" for lunch. I ordered 3 Birria tacos and received 4 for $15, plus tax, as it was Taco Tuesday at Lahaina Tacos. My co-worker ordered the same tacos but added refried beans and rice, not knowing how much it cost. Whoa, $9 for the add-on. My Birria tacos lacked flavor, even with extra spicy sauce, Jalapeno peppers, and lime juice. My co-worker said his refried beans were the worst he's had, he said they were tasteless, except for the cheese. I want two tortillas for each taco because the Birria was so juicy (the one good trait) that the single tortilla fell apart as I was eating each taco. $15 for 4 tacos is fine with me, but I want more flavor. And, $9 for (less than good) refried beans and rice is too much ... $3 or $4 would be acceptable. The staff were personable and professional but I was disappointed ... There are better alternatives close by.

SOOO. GOOD. 🔥 Highly recommend to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food! They make their tortillas fresh from scratch, and the owners also have an amazing story —originally from Mexico, they lived in Lahaina since the ‘80’s then tragically lost everything in the Lahaina fire, which led them to relocate to Oahu. Definitely a worthy business to support! The service is also friendly and fast, and there’s lots of seating around (it’s takeout only). Best to park at a municipal lot and walk across, as there is no validation for Pioneer Plaza. Trust me when I say the food is worth every penny (I got the burrito and quesadilla), and plan to be back regularly! Mahalo nui again! 💜🙏🏼

Lahaina Tacos located in Fort Street Mall. Family owned, extremely friendly and welcoming. Went for lunch takeout and got the birria burrito. Burrito was a solid size for the price with fresh ingredients. The wait was about 45 minutes total between waiting to order and waiting for the order. The wait was worth it though. Anticipate the long waits will be the case for a bit since they are brand new and in the middle of town. They did run out of some food so get there early! Can’t wait to return and try everything else.
