My wife walked in tonight to get my online order. The working manager, Tiffany, has had personal issues with people that I know in our small town. That business has nothing to do with food, but it was brought into business tonight when the manager decided to make comments to her fellow staff about situations outside of the workplace, but involving the customers. Attempting to invoke a response, she made comments directly about the customer, in front of the customer. As well as OTHER customers inside the store, not involved in the issue. If you were to look back at camera footage, as well as audio, this customer absolutely says nothing about the situation. Where I didnât find this topic to be appropriate for grabbing dinner, I called to report the issue, as well as went inside to ask for some higher authority.
I was met with being told I was getting 86âd for a personal issue with that manager. If there had been some issue prior, where we had made some form of comment towards her about the situation, I absolutely would view this response is valid. The only things that were asked to the manager personally were about A higher authority to contact to report the situation. Comments that have nothing to do with the situation or food were made by the manager, as personal attacks. She is friends with her first form of higher management, so reporting it directly to her superior is as Good as not reporting it. Small towns are in one of the only places that experience this type of issue, because if she had just left it for what we were there for, which was food, none of the issues tonight wouldâve taken place.
The manager, Tiffany, then decided to weaponize the police, although there was literally no threat or comment other than about reporting the situation to someone above her. She proceeds to follow me out to the door to lock it after me, although I left without issue. She refused to give me any form of communication with someone above her, as she was on the phone with her manager immediately me attempting to call the store.
She continued to make comments until she locked the door, and in which case we immediately left because we had our food, which is literally our only reason we were there. My only other purpose for going inside the store was to get a higher authorities number, which she told her boss and the police that I came in yelling.
I am more than willing to have someone in higher authority look at the camera footage/audio. At this point, I wouldnât go back anyways. At the end of all of this, I would just say be wary of the managers/workers at Dairy Queen. The workers all laughed about the situation as it was happening when someone was being embarrassed, then, as soon as a higher authority was addressed, they all stayed silent. Everyone except for the manager, Tiffany, who will use any personal reason as an excuse to try and cause damage. I havenât so much has spoken to this person in about a year or two, yet they are causing personal issues as Iâm trying to grab dinner on the way home.
After getting home, I received a call from the local authorities, letting me know I was trespassed, and in which case I told him I had no problems not going back. Iâm pretty positive. The typical customer isnât going to deal with this type of behavior, as the managers really know how to fake it. You may end up with spit in your food when they have a bad day. They also didnât include everything in my order, so now not only do I not go back, I also have to call and get a refund on part of my order. I would not go to the Hood River Dairy Queen if you had an option, I would go to the Dalles or even wait till you get to Troutdale or further out. No point in taking a risk on a small town person with small town issues potentially ruining...
Read moreWe ordered 2 of the $6 bacon cheeseburger specials. They were fast and the staff was fun & friendly. If I'm judging the food only it would only get 2 stars. There was soooo much mayo/sauce we had to use our spoons to scoop some of it out before we could eat the burger. We each got an entire heaping spoon of goopy sauce. I gave up & used the 1 and only napkin I was given to dry my burger. Granted, going to Dairy Queen is a special occasion "We deserve ice cream today!" kinda treat for us. And we did upgraded from the standard sundae to a MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE Blizzard. The up-charge made the meal over $22... or $11 each!!! Way waaaaaay too much money for what we received! I had the Heathbar Blizzard made with chocolate ice cream and it was okay. My mom's strawberry cheesecake Blizzard... not so much. Besides the bad burgers & one outta two, so-so Blizzards, the worst thing was the Dairy Queen app!!! We spent 15 mins in their parking lot trying to figure out how to change a Blizzard flavor from the very few choices listed. YOU CAN'T!!! So if you want to pre-order for curbside pick-up you better be happy with the 12 or so pre-selected by their IT guy. No place to make any changes to a desert order. We scrapped the pre-order and just got in line sacrificing any online bonus. Apparently, I didn't enjoy my experience as much as I thought......
Read moreAlright, it's a Dairy Queen, so the food will be kind of the same everywhere, but I will say that every time I come, it is consistent and the food is always hot. However, every single time I come through and don't know what I want, I'll ask one of the staff members opinions, and they're always really gracious about it and clue me in to what they think is actually better. It's kind of nice seeing what a person on the inside likes, and getting to take their suggestion. ALSO, I have gotten two cakes with designs on them, one hand drawn, and another printed. The hand drawn one was kind of a ridiculous request and I told them they could just do their best but it didn't need to be perfect, and I remember them telling me that they brought another coworker in to help out! And honestly, it turned out AMAZING. I was actually shocked; I could not have asked for it to be better. The second one, which was printed, also turned out amazing, and the staff and I got to kind of joke around about the image I had put on it. The person I was in contact with in charge of their decorating, was also super sweet helping me figure out to send over the image and what exactly I wanted and would look best. Honestly, it's a fast food restaurant, so it'll be similar to all the others, but I really am very appreciative of the kind staff, especially through...
