Walmart — Local services in Hood River

The last couple months have been bad today totally was unacceptable. While In self checkout we had 3 employees on us while we are ringing things up.... extremely rude looking at us and I mean the young male was within 2 ft of us watching us like we were doing something wrong. The last time we were there I noticed a difference in the lady that stands at the front I do apologize if it sounds "politically incorrect" or "racist" black "I do say that because I do believe she is African American but oringally from an island" I may be wrong. Back to the topic this lady since she started has always been kind and caring taking time to know who the customers are with a smile every time. Amazing customer service. The last time we were there I had picked items in the same area well its seems that price tags were reversed, I still purchased these items but I mean she was right on us, one of those items were a tub container which the cart was full so things where put in there we purchased those items as well. If a person buys a tub and it takes up the Cart a person is going to use that for their items it was not on purpose I mean those are the things e every person should know that they are are going to ask to look into. Her whole Demeanor towards us well it felt as though we were being profiled.... The time before that was normal she we carried on our normal conversation of the norm no problem no Hassel treated like a normal human being. So I am not sure as what happened but I do know I won't be bringing our business back regardless no matter no one should be judged...

Well I called ahead of time to see what time the money center closes because I needed to pick up money that my mom sent to me. The lady even went and double checked and said they close at 10pm.ok cool. So I came from goldendale Washington to make it in time to get to money center before 10pm.i was there at 9:45 pm. That's 15 mins before they should have been closed I drove an hour and a half to get there and they were closed before I got into the store by at least 10 mins!!! I asked why they would tell me on the phone it closes at 10pm and it isnt 10pm yet but they are closed? They said because the guy needs to get off early! I couldnt believe it!!! I wasted my time and gas coming an hour and a half to not get money I needed to get!!! That is not ok!! If you say you close at 10pm then close at 10pm and if you close at 9:30pm then say that you close at 9:30 pm!!! Its very inconvenient for someone especially if they call ahead to see what time to be there before and they drive a hour and a half to get told they are closed early!!! I'm very upset about this and do not appreciate the inconvenience of this situation!!! Also the prices here are way higher than any other walmart!! It's ridiculous. All the workers are standing around talking to eachother not working or helping customers or fellow employees!! Very bad customer service I believe!!! The workers you have working give the buisness a good or bad name and if your employees arent doin a good job then you as a buisness look bad! At least...

Called before I arrived asking for a specific item they assured me they had it. As I arrived I asked again at the front of the store about the item, the employee said yes it would be back with the craft supplies. now at this time if he didn't know the item was or was not in the store he could have called some money to check but instead he took it upon himself to state that they did have the product and directed me back towards the corner of the store where it should have been located if it would have been in the store. When I arrived at the back of the store, I had to push the request button for an employee which hadn't showed up yet.

35 minutes later still standing next to the crafts department I see a young lady wandered from the back room of the store without a mask on just to tell me they didn't sell them. she wasn't rude but I wish I would have had her on the phone before I even left my house.

So an hour and a half trip was wasted and right now gas isn't exactly cheap. Walmart needs to understand the people don't have to buy through them anymore.

There are other options and if they don't step up their game and their employees appreciate their job they won't have one very much longer. I will order online from now on probably from one of the...
